The wait is over!

It's the dead of winter in New York City. Can you think of a better time to hold a major comic book convention? Sure, we can too, but we went anyway, cameras blazing. Much like the 2007 New York Comic Con, this episode is bursting with more than it can hold. Josh, Ron, and Conor do the convention floor as only they can. Along the way, we talked to a lot of people behind the comics we love, like David Peterson (Mouseguard), Jeff Smith (Bone), Jae Lee (Dark Tower), Paul Dini (Detective Comics), Brian K. Vaughan (Y: The Last Man) and plenty of others. So settle in for this giant-size episode and enjoy.

"Quicktime Small (123 mb)"

That's hilarious. This is gonna be the Fellowship of the Ring of iFanboy videos, isn't it? I should incorporate an intermission?

41% done? Really??

As a guy who's spent many a lonely night editing video...

Damn good job, guys. Thanks for putting in all those hours for us. That's a lot of content to glue togetehr in only a couple of days.

I dunno, watching this episode I gotta think Connor is the hottest. It's not just the bald head. No, it's his stature th...wait, a second. Wrong thread...or is it?

Another awesome episode. Keep up the great work guys. I can’t believe the quality of the editing in your videos, you’d swear it was produced for television.
Always entertaining and look forward to the next one!

iFanboy should do an episode like this at every Con that they can go to from now on. So that folks that aren't able to attend can get a piece of what went on there. Who know one day maybe Mark Millar will get kick in the nuts by a fan or something and iFanboy was there to capture it on video for all eternity.

The giant-sized episode rocked! Muy excelante! Next best thing to being there.

1) How freakin' tall is Conor? He towers above everybody else.

2) Augie's voice definitely does not match his appearance. I imagined him shorter, pudgier, and balding.

3) Where was the requisite shot of Fred and other ifanboys at the con? I know you didn't take the cams to the party, but surely they must have hung around at other times.

4) Will there be video from Wonder Con?

I don't think we ever got a shot of Fred. Personally, I enjoy the mystery. We did shoot some stuff of some iFanboy folk, but there wasn't really place for it in the final edit. We'll use it sometime soon.

There will be a Wonder Con video, but I don't think it'll be out as quick as this one. This was like a Kamikaze mission. Look for it in the next 2-3 weeks.

Conor is 8'3". He eats babies. Oddly enough, Keith Giffen? 4'9". Also a baby eater though.

Conor's not crazy tall. He is tall but I'm like 6' or so it didn't seem strange to me.

Now Augie, crazy tall

I'm only halfway into the video at the moment, but I have to know:

Did you see Darrel? Did you see him stalking the streets of New York?

If not, have you considered the possibility that he was watching you from a distance the whole time?

Sometimes, people act coy because they don't really have much of a story. Perhaps that's the case here?

I'm probably gonna get smacked for this but it looked like a mini version of San Diego.. Also who's the guy with Augie? I didn't know Augie was that tall.. Loved the video guys!

I watched it twice myself. It was funny to see Josh get all up close and personal with that gigantic, glitterriffic Thor bust; there's one of them in my local shop, and someone makes a crack about it just about every time I'm there.

My favorite moment of the video was probably Conor's encounter with Ms. Bat-Fan, just because it was a completely unexpected callback to that previous episode. I assumed that they met, she vanished, and they never saw one another again, and then there she was! I cackled like a madman, partly just out of enjoyment of the bit and partly because I was so happy to see them talking again. It was like some kind of Arrested Development moment on iFanboy. Words fail me.

Going around with their camera and their labeled microphone, I wonder if the iFanboys find that their show impresses people or horrifies them. (It sounds like it horrified the Jeff Smith fans.)

No, that's pretty much what it was. Except this crowd was way more comic-centric, as opposed to San Diego, which is all over the place.

But mini is the right word.

Stormtroopers take the escalator, too.

Paul Dini in the man. I like him more and more each time I see him. Rashy too.

That was a great video. So much 'oomph.' You guys are on one helluva roll.

Needless to say, I loved the episode. I too watched it twice. I watch all of them twice, so that doesn't really speak to how awesome it truly was.

Did you guys have a table at the podcasting pavilion?

Nein.

Had we had a table, the video would have been a lot more boring.

"And, there go some more people walking by our table..."

:D

I was thinking about that when reading Augie's latest column (http://www.comicbookresources.com/columns/?column=6) over at CBR. The podcasters that set up camp in the podcast pavilion kinda reminded me of the reporters that go to Iraq and never step foot outside the green zone. You guys are like the reporters that go to Iraq and spend all your time in the Sunni triangle. Watching your video made me feel like I was almost there at the con. Except of course I didn't have to smell anyone's foul body funk.
