What established character needs a do-over, a complete square-one reboot or even just a return to basics change in direction? What needs to be avoided to keep the book from running into the ground?
The character can be one of the popular heavy-hitters like Superman or Spider-man, or an obscure character you think deserves a second chance at stardom.

I'd like to see the Ted Kord Blue Beetle get a do-over. The way he was portrayed in Countdown as the disrespected hero, who despite all that, stayed on the heroic path.

Boy, I'd sure love to see Spidey set back to, say, 1986. Which is, by amazing coincidence, right around when I started reading his book. I'm sure that has nothing to do with it, though.
Poor, hand-to-mouth guy, living in a walk-up apartment, dodging the landlady, coming and going by his skylight. Black costume. Too poor to date, trying to decide between MJ and the Black Cat. His aunt's not speaking to him because he quit grad school, because the pressure of classes and crime fighting was too much for him. The Bugle's new editor thinks his photos are s***, like he took them with the timer or something. Good times.
Pardon me, I have to go downstairs and locate a longbox.

Every time I think of a character that needs a do over I realize he has already had one.
Hawkeye maybe. I would like to see him at giant size again shooting arrows the size of telephone poles.
And I know you might hate this but I want Jean Grey Back dammit.

One of those does not fit. Guess which?;)
No, i agree, if I could have a character magically fixed it would be Mr. Parker. I think Marvel is in their own marvel way trying to fix him, but I don't see unmasking him and killing his you-know-who as a means to do that. But i guess thats why I'm not editor-in-chief.

i know it would be a huge ripoff, but i would love to see DC put out line of books like marvels ULTIMATE line. i grew up with marvel and i dont know dc as well and having a line where their key characters start from scratch in a modern setting would be awesome. I think characters like superman and wonder woman would benefit a lot from this. i know they did a supes do over in the 80s but he's still gotten convoluted lately. WW i just dont know as well, and i think a line like this would be great if they had a book where they could just do arcs staring random DC characters, starting with an origin and one adventure. it would help us get to know some of the more obscure dc characters, of which there are many.
i know it will never happen but i would love to see it

Much as I hate to admit it - this is true. The latest series of Capt. America by Brubaker has been tremendous. But CW just gutted the character - AND debased him. If he is to once again become the Cap we love and adore, then a superhero makeover is definitely necessary.

I'd really like to see a Black Knight reboot. He, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage (in the old Heroes for Hire series) were the first heroes I read, and the idea of a literal knight in shining armor really appealed to the 10 year old that I was when I first met him. Bring him back, Marvel, even as part of a team of some sort

so is it a 4 issue series for each of them, or just one-shots for all of them? oh well, beggars can't be choosers.
I should wish for stuff more often...
