Okay, so we all know ways to prevent it, but how do you get it when you actually want it? It's not to annoy an ex, but a question posed this morning at a work meeting.

Just sign up for a bunch of crap on the internet (do a Google search for different email listings). You can also post your email address on the forums, spam bots scan forums for that kind of stuff.

Porn is the secret.
Trial memberships - try places like adultfriendfinder, tickler, etc.
eMail newsletters come close - I somehow got on an insurance advisor consultancy service mailing list ... and can't get off the damn thing (I work for a software company that is in that space, so it probably came from my attendance at a trade show as a booth b***h).

Any of these places the offer "FREE" stuff for completing offers. They'll usually sell your email to the highest bidder.... then hold on to your sphincter!

Also, when you get some spam - try to unsubscribe from the list. This will confirm that you email is being viewed and you are just going to get even more.

Actually some of those sites are actually legit. They make money by their sponsors advertising so that's how they afford giving away iPods and stuff.. they're still making a huge profit.

But anyway, just sign up for anything and everything you can. Doesn't even have to be porn, most anything you sign up for nowadays wants to send you at least a weekly newsletter.

Post it on a forum and ask people to sign you up for a bunch of different things.

Post your e-mail addy at some crappy guestbook.
Create a website with the e-mail listed on the page.
Shoddy mailinglists and newsgroups.

Last call for ideas. I need this for a project tomorrow. :)

So far I have forums, free offers, trial memberships, and guestbooks.

I need as few newsletters as possible.

Thank you!
