I always loved the occasional playing of sports (basketball, baseball) in the X-men issues. In light of MLB spring training, what would you ideal superhero/villian sports team be? (Open to all sports)

Catcher - The Blob - Imagine trying to slide into home with him covering the plate!
Pitcher - Gambit - I'm sure his powers would make for some crazy pitching
1st Base - The Thing - Traditional powerhouse position
2nd Base - Spiral - More than adequate to throw to either base
Shortstop - Quicksilver - Quick enough to catch any grounders up the gap
3rd Base - Winter Soldier - Bionic arm and pinpoint accuracy
Left Field - Spiderman - Imagine the number of off the wall catches
Center Field - Reed Richards - Ready to rob tons of potential home runs
Right Field - Nightcrawler - Teleporting available to cover any stray fly balls
Relief Pitcher - Bullseye - Intimidating & dead on accurate
Manager - Batman - Who better to study on how to beat the opponent?
Rosin Bag - Doop
Home Base - MODOK
Substance of choice - MGH
Legal help - Matt Murdock
Cheerleader - Power Girl

You technically only need Nightcrawler, with his teleportation skills theres not much else needed, plus with only 1 guy to pay your team is going to make huge revenue.

ah... you would think that. Unless, of course, they miss they ball or get tripped up (which is what Bugs Bunny does best)

Don't know to much about baseball, but for my pitcher i'd pick Storm. All outside positions would be filled by Jamie Madrox and umpire would be played by Emma Frost. U guys would always strikeout.
