This week iFanboy hunts through their bookshelves for hidden gems you might not be so familiar with. If you need a break from the big superhero crossover events, or are just looking for some variety, we've got some suggestions for you. Josh barely contains his animal rage with, My Monkey's Name is Jennifer. Ron gets retro-modern with Smoke and Guns. And Conor brings us some alternate Gotham, with Batman: Holy Terror.

Just placed an order for "My Monkey's Name is Jennifer". Based solely of the panel that read; "Damn you I'm a crazy monkey".

yup..
but with 2 shows i guess there are only so many hours..
we don't need one of you to have a nervous break-down and go all "britteny spears" on us (although conner is already bald..)
at least this way they are short enough i can watch them at work

i am very intrigued by my monkey's name is jennifer, the monkey inner dialogue sounds hilarious (after listen to Karl Pilkington's monkey news all week im starting to develop an unhealthy obsession with all things simian)
does anyone know the name of the elseworld Batman book they mentioned, the one where Bruce Wayne gets the GL ring instead of Hal Jordan, that sounds like a cool idea and i would want to pick that up.

During the show the guys said they never heard of "Batmen: Holy Terror" author Alan Brennert. I actually didn't know he ever wrote comics but he's got an extensive Sci Fi TV background. Some of his "New Twilight Zone" eps from the 80s are especially cool. Check his credits here:
