I Hung Out With Kevin! [Archive]

... OK, well, sort of.

So, I'm sure all the flaming will start shortly, and I'm prepared, so fire your best shot!

Last night, instead of having a dream of Jessica Biel, I had a dream that Kevin showed up at my house for some reason. Dreams are weird, so, I'm not really sure why he was there, but I think his car broke down or something. It made perfect sense why Kevin Rose was hanging out with me in the dream, but not so much now that I think about it while I'm awake. I'm sure you guys have dreams that make sense while your in them, but are confusing later as you think about them when you're awake. (Much like if I were to have a dream about Jessica Biel "hanging out" with me!)

Anyway, we hung out for a while, and shared a Corona, and watched some TV. When I woke up I started to laugh. I didn't realize what a geek I have become to have a dream about friggin' diggnation...

Thought I'd share the story... Anyone have anything similar, or any crazy dreams lately?

Actually, it's perfectly natural to have dreams about people you admire. It beats having a dream about George Bush or someone like that.

I have no clue. This is the first time I can remember a dream in a long time. I just knew that's what we were doing. Also, it wasn't just him and I, there were a bunch of people that were there, apparently already hanging out with Kevin when his car broke down. That might help knock away the "gay innuendo."

Although... that might make it worse....

I haven't had a "falling" dream in a long ass time. I hated those. Or, how about the dreams where you picture something flying at your face at like a billion miles per hour, and you suddenly wake up out of a dream. I remember having a dream that someone threw a baseball at my face when I was a kid. Right before it smacked me in the nose I woke up and almost gave myself whiplash.

It's funny how folks worship rock stars as if they were not just folks playing music for their entertainment.Not sure if you were insinuating this or not, but I don't worship them, or "rock stars" or whatever. I don't live in other peoples lives instead of living my own. It was just a weird dream I had for some reason.

I will say that I admire them for starting a company like this, and for almost every single thing they've done being so successful. I'd love to switch jobs with him any day of the week. :)

Agreed. That's why meeting celebs doesn't faze me. They are regular people who happen to have more money and more people know them. It's not like I'm going to get some magical power by shaking their hands.

Yeah. That's basically what I meant and worded poorly. Kevin and Alex, Mick Jagger, Bono. Would be fun to meet them, but it aint gonna change my life. They're not gonna push aside their friends of forty years and become my bestest buddy, hang out and play Wii with me...

No. Wasn't even referring to your dream, just commenting on the previous comment that kinda revered rock stars.

And I love Kevin Rose and respect him for what he has built, and how he went about it. And for connecting with his audience, and for not turning into a corporate shill, while still building a respectable business.
