View Full Version : Niko Henrichon(PoB) Doing Work for Marvel
Damn it. I don't want to have to buy New X-Men. Anyway, Niko Henrichon drawing part of New X-Men #37 (http://forum.newsarama.com/showthread.php?t=104967). Henrichon was the artist on Pride of Baghdad. PoB was a beautiful book. Here's to hoping he does something worth reading soon.
And a pic

See what I mean? How could you not love that?

PoB was effing gorgeous. I've never once read New X-Men but might buy that.
So purdy.

That's so nice, she doesn't even look like hellspawn anymore.
I think he's at least doing some FF covers, and maybe the book itself, in the coming months.

That does look good. Alas, I, like you Fred, have sworn off New X-men. And my podcasting crew will likely mock me severely if I back down and pick it up again.
Actually, that's not it, but I'm afraid it may be a gateway drug back to bad comics and soon I'll find myself buying Moon Knight again...
I've never bought New X-Men. Not a single issue. I don't know who is even in the book. I do buy Moon Knight. Shame on me

Hehe....about Moon Knight, he is like that character that I know is a cheesy ripoff and almost invariably has bad writing yet I still find myself strangely drawn to.
When I came back a few months ago, I had to pick it up. Didn't care for the writing or the direction it seemed to be going. Of course, they will make Ronin MK and then I'll have to jump back on the bandwagon.
It's pretty good but it's hard to read it monthly because it never comes out.

I would almost want to read it just for Fitch’s art, but from what the general consensus is, I’m glad I’m not.

I've heard that the artist is leaving the book after #8(today) or #9 and that it's going to become monthly again

It's the writing more than the art that bothers me. I dunno, just not getting into it. The art is pretty good if you like the 90s sort of hyperdetailed style.
Amusing that it may become monthly after the artist leaves...so sad...

Yes sir. I like my heroes to look like they’re on the ‘roids.

I think Moench and Seinkiewicz's MK was as good as much of the non-Miller Batman stuff that has come out since. In the monthlies, at least. Moon Knight, done right, has a lot of potential. I, too, am buying MK, though it's not really striking a chord with me.
Now if we could only get Rom and The Micronauts a new series.

New X-men isn't so bad. Starting reading it during the last two or three arcs and they were alright as X-books go. Glad to see Henrichon doing the next issue. His art was great in PoB.
