I'll have to disagree... just the part with double_d at a strip club trumps the old intro sequence. And to comment on the comment that NJShadow made... If they actually blazed a blunt during the show it would be much better! They imply it, yeah for effect... It's "borderline illegal" computer shit, why not have a pack of swishers sitting on the table? But it's not like they actually condone, or even mention "drug use".

I don't know how thebroken could work anymore. I would hate to see them make it more mainstream/ less pseudo illegal as that would forsake the whole purpose of the show. But now that Revision3 is getting real investment money and everything, and Kevin Rose is a major officer at a company with quite a high value that is looking to keep its corporate profile up, I don't know how on earth they could do that.

I think thebroken is dead, as sad as it is. Even if they come out with new episodes, it probably won't be the same for the above reasons. All good things...

Revision3 serves it's content out for free to the viewers (excluding those who pay the $5 to see it two days early) with a VAST majority of generated revenue coming from sponsors like GoDaddy and Cachefly. As posted in the announcements section, Rev3 just signed an $8 million dollar deal for more capital investment.

Are you seeing the HUGE 'political' financial reasons why you probably won't see another episode of the broken.. at least not in a capacity that you are used to seeing it in? Before there was the broken, there was Systm. Same two guys talking about the same things. Now think about what Systm became and the current content it provides. If I'm not mistaken, I believe the appropriate word is "sanitized."

Look, I'm not saying anything bad about the broken. I watched. I enjoyed. I learned. But with Rev3 morphing into a mature company providing content with the purpose of making money, it's a safe bet, I think, to go ahead and assume that Rev3 will play by "big boy" rules and not put the bottom line in jeopardy by putting sponsors in a position where they are supporting illegal activities.

If you DO see another episode, it will not be connected with Rev3 and it surely won't be hosted by Kevin who has serious financial connections with Digg, Rev3, and Pownce.

Just my 2 cents. Take it for what you will.

Hey, I just want to say that thebroken is one of the best shows I have EVER seen. I love how everything is so casual, yet at the same time I'm taking in lots of useful information.

The show is absolutely hilarious, and I literally found out about it around 3 hours ago whilst randomly surfing some websites.

I hope this is an example to you guys. Even after 4-5 years (I believe the first episode was in '03?) you're still attracting new people to the show. I'm actually amazed I've spent the last 3 or 4 years online without catching the show, although I do faintly remember hearing about it quite a while ago on a few 'shady' sites ;)

I felt compelled to sign up here and show my support. Kevin and Double D are two of the funniest people I've ever seen in my life and I really, really don't want to think of episode 4 of being the final episode.

Keep up the good work guys and I'll be following Diggnation now too so that I can get my dose of beer drinking awesomeness.

It's not about being politically correct.

It has everything to do with making a living.

Face it, Kevin's a host of a popular show, on a popular and still growing webcast network whose sponsors are tech sponsors. If Kevin and Dan went around hacking into things willy-nilly, then the sponsors would drop off, for fear that there'd be some exploit that would be shown for everyone to use. So, therefore, there would be no money coming in, and thus no shows.

You have to look at the big picture sometimes.

It's like a band that refuses to grow musically because they want to remain underground, and then wonders why they don't make any money.

I wouldn't mind if the broken would at least continue as a hack your home type show. offering ideas for hacking different items around the house. For instance an old original xbox, or PS2. or your tivo or replay tv unit, ect. kind of a HTW(hack the world) show all in one place. I hate having to go all over the internet looking for ideas, and then not knowing wether or not to trust the source of the hack. I understand the legal reasons for cutting back on the broken, but lets have something thats kind of shady yet remains legal.

It would appear to be dead, for a few reasons... 1) It's been more than a year since Jay said it was in development. 2) Jay said it was far from top priority. 3) Jay is no longer the CEO, and I doubt Jim is getting pressure to bring it back, except from maybe a few fans.

they have done that already The Gigaom show, Rev3Gazzet, and Webdrifter
so what makes you think they will EVER bring back The Broken after only 4 episodes

yep, the reason no one trusts Rev3 anymore when they claim anything is coming for a show.

i too would like to see more eps of the broken, its the reason im on these boards. i was first shown it in 2004 and checked periodically in the hope of new eps when revision3 popped up. i didnt like ep4 much but loved the original eps

when are you guys going to learn, they DO NOT CARE!!! what we the viewers like or want to see, if they did they would bring back the good shows and stop putting out crap shows....

they lied to us all, they said they didn't have the money to do ISS and PopSiren and a few months later start coming out with these new shows
