HOT!! HOT!! HOT!! This episode is smoking hot. By popular demand, Bert works his magic and shows us how to create fire. It is not quite as simple as lighting a match, but as Bert demonstrates, it is not too much more complicated than that.

Am I the only one that thought the cloud effect at the end totally ruined what he had done thus far with the effect?

I loved this ep. I didn't care much for the fire effect, but WOW. I was totally blown away by Bert and the prosess of creating this effect. Awsome stuff.

I wasn't that pleased with the cloud effect at the end either. I think if you were to blend it with the other "smoke" layer then it would look better.

Nope. I thought so too, I was expecting something more to be done. It looks like a floating square cloud.

I'll be telling others about PixelPerfect... those of us who are newbs can really benefit from this type of demonstration.


oh and I did expect him to do some sort of mask or something with the cloud... maybe he ran out of time? I guess it's also an incentive for us to take it from there.

Definately.

On a side note, does anyone know how to get the same effect as wind on a circle. I am trying to create the fire effect used in this ep on a circle and it worksok with just liquify but i feel it could look so much better.
