I don't exactly have a favorite one. They all have there reasons why I like them.
The Original Series had the coolest uniforms and tribbles.

Next generation had Wil Wheaton and Data.

Voyager had a female admiral. :)

I enjoy all of them. Love watching Enterprise on the SciFi Channel and Voyager on Spike.

TNG, baby! Post-bearded Riker, of course.

I don't know if they still do, but G4 was showing The Next Generation.

Not a huge Trek fan, but I did enjoy Next Generation and Voyager (I actually read a novel or two!). I always wondered why the lighting on Deep Space 9 was so dim.

I voted for Voyager, anticipating that it would get no love otherwise.

All about DS9 here. I still DVR it off Spike. :D

I thought Voyager was okay. Better once Kess left. Annoying *****. If only she had taken Neelix with her.

There are new Star Trek Episodes being made and given away here. The funniest one is Batman V Star Trek. Its kind of an Adam West v Will Shatner thing with Catwoman thrown in. And yes its totally legal

Anyone with an HDTV (or even without one) should search their listings for the new HD restored Original Star Treks. They're truly eye opening.

I've only really ever seen Voyager.
I saw random episodes of the original and the Next Generation

Voyager was ok. I watched it for a couple seasons

I've always called that one "Star Trek: Toll Booth 9"
too soap opera for me.

I had high hopes for Voyager when it started what with a strong female lead and some interesting characters, but they painted themselves into a corner from day one, plot wise.

Never saw Enterprise. Was interested when I heard about it, but every trek fan said it sucked so never watched it.

The original series was great. Until I grew up. (just kidding) but damn it looks dated now. I stumble on it these days and I just can't bare to sit through a full episode.

I voted TNG. That series took the original idea and ran with it. Wonderful concepts based on human emotion, scientific ideas of the day, and just cool ol' scifi ideas. The only thing that bugged me was Rikers broomstick up the butt attitude and his feces eating "I'm so evolved" grin.

Loved Troi. Loved Data. Wesley grew on me, but took a while.

And Jean Luc? Well he's my great great great great grandson. So What's not to love.

DS9 was never loved by the typical ST fan. But I love you, DS9. With your Socio-religious political backdrop and heavy-handed stroytelling. Wither "In the Pale Moonlight" or "Far Beyond the Stars"?

Yeah, Everyone loves that episode. But "Far Beyond The Stars" hit me in the gut, er...harder.

Speaking of "The Visitor", as such. I always choke up a little when Jake says goodbye to his dad at the end of DS9. Something about the way Kira comforts Jake stirs the emotions of my own father's passing. Always thought that was tastefully done.

The OS is my all time favorite but I love, love, love DS9. And TNG.

It's too bad they never made any more Trek shows...

I love the original series of Star Trek - for me they fell of as soon as the women started wearing trousers and the storylines tried to teach me stuff.

Well, I wouldn't say totally legal. They're clearly infringing on the Star Trek IP.

The film makers are very concerned about legality. They are not selling the product and not even accepting donations. The have informed Star Trek of what they are doing.

Its Fan Fictions.

While everything is debatable its clear in this case that so far the owners of Star Trek have no problem with this. While they have not explicitly endorsed it they have not sent a cease and desist letter either.

These films are not studio quality but its obvious after wathing them they must have cost thousands of dollars and hundreds of man hours.

I'm completely aware of the situation. The fact is, though, that if the copyright holders wanted to stop them, they could. Because it's an infringement. I'm glad that they don't, because that would be counter-productive. I've watched a couple of the episodes and they're good for what they are. The copyright holder would be shooting themselves in the foot to stop it. But they could.

I just think that calling it "totally legal" is inaccurate in the absence of explicit permission.

.... whah? The original series was like one big allegory to America in the 60s.

What do you think the episode with the half black/half white Frank Gorshin was really about?

Had to vote for TNG, but I've watched and liked them all. I'll still occasionally catch a next gen episode on spike.

On a related note, I recently listened to the Wil Wheaton interview on FBR. It was actually pretty interesting. He has a blog that was also quite amusing. You should check it out sometime.

Are there no Deep Space Nine fans up in here? I'll give props to the Original crew and The Next Generation had its moments, but the DS9 crew played baseball together, they were the aliens at Roswell and while Picard and Data were acting out Shakespeare on the Holodeck, Bashier and O'Brien were living James Bond scenes. There is no more Star Trek after Deep Space Nine.

After actually reading the other posts I find there is some DS9 love here after all. Awesome.

Favorite Episodes in no particular order...
1)Past Tense
2)Our Man Bashir
3)Far Beyond the Stars

Grew up on Original Series, and TNG first came on the air when I was in college. Actually was proof that something hyped beyond belief can actually be better than you thought it would be. We were all amazed. Big group in the student lounge where the TV was, every week.

I love the soap, gotta have the soap, but space opera soap, deep soap nine, too much soap. I think I overdosed on space opera soap when I was a kid, so I couldn't take much of it after TNG.

Everytime I see the opening to Voyager I think of the whale movie, "Free Willy." Never saw much of it, but one scene in a space shuttle was too, "If you bring that up one more time, that's the last time I take you up in the family van to visit my parents in Oregon." If OS "messages" were too heavy handed, the soap in Voyager and DS9 was just too heavy on the soap for me, and I LOVE soap. But I need my other elements in there too... as in science fiction? People that love DS9 probably liked Babylon 5, and I could not get into that.

I actually liked Enterprise, call me crazy (I am, I know). T'Pol rocked. Trip was good. I guess I liked it because I'm a sucker for anything that does the backstory and history and all that, nice to see those Andorians, always love me some Andorians. And Brenda's mother from Six Feet Under was T'Pol's mother, that was kind of...interesting...(same actress, wow: talk about acting range)

Bones: "Oh my god, Jim what are doing?!"
Kirk: "I have to fight this fight, Bones, and if my shirt rips off again, so be it."

I could never take him seriously in that role, because he ruled as the Riddler when I was watching TV. I kept expecting Gorshin, half black and half white, still in a skin tight suit but on the Enterprise, still manic as all get out, just about to break into that wonderful Riddler giggle laugh.... but he was good in Star Trek, that episode would have been a big bore without him.

Frank Gorshin, Rest In Peace.

I love me some TOS. But, it was only great from about half-way through the first season to about half-way through the last.

It seems like once they found out there was no future, they stopped trying.

However, in comparison, Star Trek TNG took quite awhile to surpass it's predecessor. Not until the second half of season three did the series really start to kick ass.
