Hello everyone!
Just found out about TRS a few weeks ago and have spent that time catching up.
I like listening to the guys get excited about things that I find interesting; comics, books, games, movies, shows. They are the type of people that I wish I actually knew. My friends share, at most, one or two of my many geeky interests. When I pull out obscure geeknowledge I mostly get a strange look.
Watching the show has introduced me to a few movies and comics I didn't know about so I look forward to checking them out.

Hello everyone, I'm a complete gamer and comic book reader, I'm a full time student and in a 2 more years I'll be heading to medical school Haven't decided between San Fransisco or L.A to head to for med school, can't decide which one is rad. I've been a fan of the show since Alex mentioned it on Diggnation.

Hey everyone! I've been watching since Alex mentioned TRS on Diggnation. I was a bit hesitant to join yet another forum since I know very well that I will just flounder out 4 or 5 months down the road, and I sort of did, but one of my many new year's resolutions this year is to actually maintain my membership in this forum since I do love the show very much. To continue, I'm a freshman in college and I love movies and television with a passion (more so movies than TV). I've recently gotten back into video games in the latter end of 2007 after how many years away from any console. As far as comic books are concerned, I'm into those indie graphic novels (see: Blankets, Sleepwalk, etc) but if you throw something in front of me that's interesting, I'll probably read it. (Come to think of it, the only series I've read was Johnny the Homicidal Maniac and whatever else Jhonen Vasquez wrote since I was a hardcore Invader Zim fan back in the day... :D)

I guess I'll stop boring you all with my banter and wish everyone a happy new year! :)

- Jess

Hello, everyone!

I'm Foenix, or Jason Grey, or just J, or "Hey you" works fine too. I've been Digging since Kevin first mentioned the site on Screen Savers, and watching Diggnation since the start, and followed to most of the other netcasts.

I've been online for way too many years, and I hang out on IRC, and am active mostly in comicbook communities. I'm a writer of fiction, and occasional reviews, and whatever hits my brain at a given moment. Ahh, the power of the web to allow me to say whatever I want.

I'm also an amatuer web designer, and mostly stick to my own stuff, and am WAY out of practice. CSS? Whatsat? =)

Give me a comicbook, an episode of Babylon 5, a mug of coffee, or a cute redheaded girl, and I'm a happy camper.

And that's me in a nutshell.

Hi. I'm Mr. Glass, senior Computer Science major studying in Manhattan.

Big fan of the screen savers back on TechTV (yes I'm going there). Been following where all the hosts went since then, and later rev3. Only really started watching recently though, with the confluence of me finally grabbing an iPod and TV going on strike.

I'm Doug from Kansas City, MO. About 8 months ago I was at work and a friend of one of my co-workers came up to us and started talking about his Apple TV that he bought, and about how network TV is dead because shows like Diggnation had such high production values and such. I was already into podcasting, but had never watched an episode, so I checked it out. I though "what fucking production values do these guys have, they're just sitting on a couch with laptops." But I found it entertaining enough to come back and watch more. Then Alex started talking about his new show, something called Totally Rad somethingorother. I started watching and the rest is history.

Sometimes its hard to see "the rad" through all the shit that pollutes the internet and TV these days.

I love the fact that I found you guys through the AotS appearance because this site and these guys on it kick total ass.

Hey, I’m Seán from Dublin, Ireland. I've been watching TRS since Episode 1 and, like a lot of viewers, I heard of TRS through Alex mentioning it on DiggNation.

Kept meaning to get an account and spend some time in the forums and now I've finally got around to doing it. So no excuses from now on!

Might I add: Jeff's appearance on 1up Yours was fantastic. I'm always a fan of crosspollination in podcasts, so let’s hope it's the start of a regular thing.

Hey everyone

I'm 24 and live in Nova Scotia, Canada. I love games...right now I'm playing Mario Galaxy...that game is kind of trippy with the walking around the planets....its awesome. I play WoW..just getting the hang of it.

Movies...where do I start...i would say my favorite of all time is Empire Strikes Back...great ending...looks like the bad guys are going to win for once.

Music...favorite band of all time is Weezer...can't wait for the new album. I quite enjoyed Rivers Cuomo's Alone album.
Just wanted to say I really enjoy the show. I love the openings. The Full House one was great.

Hey there guys, I'm Allen from New Orleans, LA.

I've been watching Diggnation since Day 1, Episode 1 and TRS since its Release, along with peeking through some of Rev3's other podcasts.

I'm an avid gamer, movie watcher, music aficionado, etc etc who basically fits the normal description to a fan of Revision 3 and most notably, The Totally Rad Show.

I've been registered for a while, but was never really active, which I strive to change. So, here to say hi and I hope to become part of a great community!

Hey my name is James I'm from Nova Scotia, Canada.

My story starts with finally getting a satellite and finding TechTV watching Leo Laporte, then watching Leo with Kevin Rose then all of a sudden The Screen Savers thing happened and watching Kevin and Alex on TV for the first time was amazing. It felt like two best friends just talking about tech and geek stuff, my kind of show and what I do with my friends.

After Alex was let go I was devastated, and the show just wasn't the same anymore and to this day have not watched Attack of the Show since I find it just another show on TV. I followed Kevin, Alex and even Sarah Lane on their personal blogs. I started Digging when it was first released, and was so excited when Diggnation was announced. Now I have all these great podcasts to watch, and try my best to recommend them to family, friends and coworkers (even my mom and girlfriend loved Ctrl+Alt+Chicken). Slowly my girlfriend got into some of the Diggnation episodes and some of the Totally Rad Show shows. (She even sent a fan email to TRS hoping Dan emails her back because she thinks he's 'Hot' -_-)

I'm not a forum kind of guy but this looks like a fun place for fans.

Any other fans from Nova Scotia? PM me! I only know of one other person (who lives 40 minutes away) who Digg and watch Rev3 shows.

Thanks for reading!

hey guys, my name's Trevor and I'm from northern California. I'm not actually sure how I came across the raddness our three hosts have put together (with Steve also of course) but it only took me one obsessed week to watch all the eps and catch up. no I'm a full fledged Radling and will wait for the show on pins and needles every week

Hi I'm John from San Francisco, CA

Started watching TRS in the fall and made it all the way through the episodes in few weeks - now I'm up to date and anticipate the show every week.

I'm way into movies and video games - though I'm far less of a hardcore gamer than most. At this point I want a PS3 to try out some of the new games coming out for that system (and because I'm having regret at choosing an HD-DVD player this Christmas)

Anyways - I figured it was about time I registered in the forums and having some better conversations than the banter on Gizmodo & Engadget (my two favorite blogs).

Talk to you soon.

p.s., Jeff, Dan, Alex - I took my friend to the Melting Pot for Christmas - it was awesome

hey, my name is shegs, I also go by WissApe if you ever see me on any other forums (hence the avatar). I am based out of hayward (east bay from SF) but am studying broad in korea until june.

I have been watching for a few months (read:since I got my itouch and went PodCast-Crazy). I have to say I enjoy your casts even though I dont 100 percent agree with your reviews... although I did go see golden compass because you guys said it was enjoyable. and I have to say that it was far better than the crap I was expecting (narnia with polarbear instead of lion (I hated narnia)).

anyway keep up the good work, it's nice having this connection with america. watching your show makes me miss america more with each episode.

take it easy guys.

hey all, my name is Kyle and I am originally from Dayton, OH; but I am in West Lafayette, IN for school. I agree with most of what Dan, Jeff, and Alex with a few minor differences. I enjoy watching movies most of all and I occasionally play games, I wish I could find more time for games but not until school is over with. My favorite types of movies are comedies and kung-fu flicks. As far as games, I enjoy RPG's and any thing from Valve. Lastly I just want to say that the show is awesome and keep up the good work.

So, I signed up for the forums a long time ago, but never actually posted...no idea why, probably had something to do with becoming a mod on another site and never having time for other forums. I just thought I'd start participating now, as it seems like this is an amazing community here.

Oh, and it's always nice to have some more people to play CoD4 with. The site I mod on is a Wii site, so not that many 360 owners on there, a good amount, but not enough.

My name's Sam, btw.

EDIT: Watch Diggnation, TRS, Systm, and still dream of new Ctrl-Alt-Chicken episodes.

I'm a Rev3 fan since ... I would say a couple of years... with DiggNation and recently I'm in love with The Totally Rad Show (My Favourite Show Ever). I'm a Mac fanboy (right now I'm writing this lines with my 15' MacBook Pro) and I love watching movies, TV shows, playing piano and I'm a master of basketball. You probably won't see me in the NBA because coaches just don't usually believe in my playing style (too flashy) :D.

I hope to enjoy a lot in these forums and let's see if my English gets even better. Looking for friends too, PM me if you think we could have a nice chat!

nice to see a steady stream of new ppl.

Im Brian, a lurker for quite some time, and a fan way back to the days of TSS. From canada, when im not ice fishing, clubbing baby seals, or fixing my ice blocks on my igloo, i enjoy sitting down with a beer, my lady, a 360 controller, and some podcasts.

just jokes. i work, play hockey, love the nightlife, and am a techy. my good buddy looks like Alex too (kinda weird)

I have been enjoying the show for almost a year. I started with the audio podcast, but now I download the video podcast and watch it at work. I thought I would show my support for the show by joining this forum.

By way of introduction, my name is Tom, I am 40 (ouch) and I live in Las Vegas with my wife and five children. I’m mainly a PC gamer (C&C 3 and TF2 right now, tried Guild Wars, but couldn't get into it). My son and I have been very frustrated trying to find a Wii to purchase. My son has saved up $250 by picking up dog poo for friends and neighbors, but as of yet we have not been able to find one. (I have become obsessed with wiitracker.com, refreshing every 15 minutes trying to find one on sale.) I love the shows Lost, BSG, Heroes, Smallville, and Project Runway (I tell my wife I watch that show to spend time with her, but actually it is a very entertaining show). I am a big movie buff (I regularly visit Aint It Cool and Dark Horizons), but recently I do most of my movie watching on DVD on my 42” plasma beauty. Can only afford to take a family of seven to the movies once a month, so we only watch family (Enchanted) or popcorn movies (Transformers, I Am Legend) in the movie theater. One nice thing about living in Vegas is that there is a new top-of-the-line movie theater opening up every year.

I am a Family Therapist and spend all day trying to help others better their own lives and the lives of their family. It is a very demanding, but rewarding career. So the hour a week I spend watching your show helps me take a break from the rigors of the job, recharge my emotional batteries, and re-enter the therapeutic fray.

Let me end by saying how much I love the format of your show. That you spend time talking about my favorite things: movies, TV, and video games, means that this show is perfect for me (well almost perfect, if you added a fourth segment called “How great are Tom’s kids?” then the show would be perfect).. I love the time you take to give and listen to each others’ opinions. I also love how passionate you are all about your opinions and defending your opinions with each other. And finally the production value of the show is the best on the internet (I love the fourth member of the show who adds funny graphics in the background of the show.)

Keep up the good work.

hello all :)

I'm Andy, 23. I sometimes appear on chat as 'totally_rad_glasgow'.

Fan of TRS since Ep1, and fan of Diggnation since... about this time last year.

Favourite thing about TRS? apart from Steves editing, I'd have to say the rare moments when Jeff throws in a 'Clue' quote or reference.

Hi, my name is Ethan. I'm 17, I'm president of my high school's TV station and I love making movies with my friends. Check out my stuff on youtube http://www.youtube.com/fallingmilkmenn

I've been watching the show from the beginning. Actually when I first started watching other revision3 shows besides diggnation the first geekdrome I ever saw was the episode with Dan Jeff and Alex. Geekdrome became my new favorite thing. I looked forward to it every week. And then, as soon as it came into my life, it was gone. And then a couple of months later, what do I find? How about the single raddest video podcast in the history of ever! So yeah I love it. And I figured it was about time to join the forums. We're coming up on a year now, I can't believe that.

I am German,

I watch TRS every week,
as most of you do, I'm sure,
and would love a live taping in NYC
or something.

Die Hard 4 Sucked.

Hey,

I've been watching TRS for a long while, and loving every second of it. My names Leigh and I live in the Houston, TX area. I work as a server administrator. Normally not a fan of "critics" but Jeff, Dan, and Alex do a RAD job of it, and I almost always agree with one of them.

Favorite current TV shows include Bones, House, and started watching Moonlight and K-Ville this season. I can never seem to pick a favorite movie. I just love movies in general.

I've been lurking in the forums for a while and finally decided to join in.

I did the exact same thing for about 2 weeks then finally started WATCHING, SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better.

Still catching up on episodes, every morning I wonder if today is going to be one of those days where the people on my bus get to watch me shake uncontrollably as i attempt to hold in laughter. Also the sole reason i no longer try to drink coffee on the bus.

You MUST start watching!!

Listening instead of watching, is like, masturbating with sandpaper. It's like cooking a giant meal while you're starving and then throwing it out. It's like playing a PS3 game with an Atari controller. It's like driving from Greenland to the Grand Canyon and staring at the sky when you get there.

yeah, i guess i should.

Also in news; the sun is hot, girls are pretty, telemarketers suck, and TRS is an incredible VIEWING experience. YEAH you should!

Brand spanking new here, as you can tell from that there post count.

Huge fan of this show and most other Rev3 shows. I mostly watch this show because the critiques and feelings on most of the movies and games align directly with my views; thus, if the crew doesn't like a movie/game, I'll watch/play it not expecting a good experience. In the few times that I disagree with the Rad three, I am pleasantly surprised. Heh, "disagree with the Rad three." Yeah, I laugh at my own unintentional puns and rhymes.

Yeah, take that. Way more than you wanted to read. I know, I'm not that funny, but I try anyway. :(

My main interests are #1 Movies, #2 Games and #3 TV.

I never really got into comic books but I found something today (which I emailed you about a few minutes ago) called Cereal Geek. It's a magazine which is totally dedicated to animation from the 80s. I'm looking forward to the issues arriving.

That's all for now - keep up the awesome - I mean RAD show.

Hi Patch. I have been playing PuzzleQuest all day to level up. I can't play Rock Band today because I have to go to my baby cousin's birthday party. We bought a bunch of books for little Jacky. But I can play tomorrow, as long as my mom lets me. I have to finish my Kevin Rose bio before I can play. Then we can play Say it ain't so. That song has been in my head for days. My mom says that she will find a way to delete that song if I sing it one more time.

Awesome, I'll be looking forward too it. My niece may be over tomorrow, so we may have to do it some time in the evening.

As for Say It Ain't So... If you're mum doesn't wanna hear it anymore, I dun wanna get in trouble from her for being apart of her hearing it again! She'll beat me up or something! Hehe.

I'm lookin' forward to havin' some of your mum's cookies when you two hit LA. I'll probably make some of my special cookies for you guys. They're awesome. And, we can all jam together with Rock Band. You on drums, me on guitar, your mum on vocals. It'll be epic.

I travel alot, ( you have no idea, more than pilots ) and work with people that travel alot, also, my really good friends, all live out of the country. And checking in to flights there and going through security is a stupid and wasteful 4 hr process, and knowing airplane food isn't that great, we eat first.

Atlanta sucks, more concrete than any major city.

Hi, my name is Julio, but my friends call me "jay" so please feel free to do the same. I'm a forum virgin considering this is my first post ever on any site. I guess that fact that I don't have an avatar or quote would give that away. I'm born, raised and still live in Philadelphia, PA. I've been a fan of TRS since probably october of last year.

I've never considered myself "RAD," but since the topics of the show are things that I'm passionate about, I guess I may be "RAD" afterall :)

I never really gave a detailed introduction here...

My names Cory, I'm 21 and I live in Calgary Alberta - I rep for a bunch of clothing companies, as well as work for American Apparel. I have big holes in my ears and a stupid tattoo in my mouth.

I've been in a lot of bands, toured the country a couple times and got in trouble with the police quite a lot along the way. I wear tight pants and I think Adriana Lima is the most beautiful gal pon de Earth.

I'm not related to anyone famous, and my family doesn't have a lot of money.

I listen to anything from Frank Sinatra (go figure), Stevie Wonder and John Mayer, to Every Time I Die, Buju Banton and Vampire Weekend.

I enjoy Architecture, Fashion, Graphic Design, Music and Franks Red Hot on anything.

I don't normally join forums because i'm lazy to post something.:) But since I love TRS and they always mentioned all the good stuffs here in the forums, I decided to join.

Some stuffs about me:

- I'm kind of an old school guy, I like 80s and 90s stuffs (it goes with my age)
- I'm starting to like Animes (Death Note's cool and Claymore too)
- Big, big, LOTR movies fan
- I love The Great Space Coaster!
- Lastly, I love video games! I grew up playing Nintendo Game & Watch, The old Ataris and The NES (or Famicom).

My name is Chris. I'm originally from Ontario, Canada but have been living in Quebec for most of my life. I use to be totally into the whole podcast thing ever since TechTV merged with G4. I just wanted to keep up with the individuals from the The Screen Savers primarily. I completely stopped following the revision3, dl.tv stuff. As proof I just logged back in today to find out that its been over a year since last I logged in. Not sure why but TRS got me totally back into it. I'm only up to episode 26 now but catching up pretty quickly.

Guess I should introduce myself, don't know why I waited this long to do so. Anyway...

Name's Eric or Blackacid (either works), I'm currently 31 years old and live in southern Indiana.
I first learned about a network called TechTv that had the show screensavers, ever since then I've followed the show as much as I could. After TechTv and the screensavers got canceled I found out that Kevin Rose was making a podcast called "The Broken". After awhile Diggnation came out and of course Revision3. I've signed up on the forums soon after, but it wasn't until recently that I started to join in on the forums. And here we are...

I'm into alot of things that this company talks about so this is a very nice place for me.
I hope that I'll get a chance to know everyone here as I possibly can and that everyone will get a chance to know me.

A little tidbit of info on me.
My style of gaming is mostly RPGs (mmo also), fighting style, action, adventure, and puzzle games. I'm currently playing WoW and have been for the past three years. I decided to try the executus server where I started a dreneai hunter named Shatteredbow. I also play Sven co-op (half-life mod) from time to time under the name "victim#98990" or I'm on team fortress 2 under Blackacid.
The types of movies I like are so varied that I won't get into it, but if it has a great story then I'll like it.
As for comics, I haven't read them since the late 90's but I was a big Marvel fan and I used to read X-Men, Spiderman and Iron Man a lot.
There's more than this but it'll get too long so I'll stop it here.

Thank you for your time in reading this and I'll see you around the boards.

Anyone around here watch Pure Pwnage or Hak.5? :D

My name is Daniel W. and I have been watching Revision 3 shows since 2005, but I didn't start posting in the forums until now.

I was a HUGE fan of The Screensavers, and I loved the short-lived incarnation that was hosted by Alex and Kevin, so when a friend of mine (he's this goth guy who I didn't expect to be a TechTV geek) told me that Kevin and Alex had an internet show, I nearly wet myself. I didn't even know what a podcast was at the time. I didn't even visit Digg.com for months. I just liked hearing them talk. Since then (and my discovery Firefox and bittorrent), my computer has taken over my life.

Actually, I kind of lost interest in podcasts until TRS, which I discovered shortly after the death of PennRadio (Penn Jillette's radio show, which I actually listened to in podcast form, so I guess I am lying about losing interest in podcasts...)

Anyway. I saw that another guy who has been a Rev3 member even longer than I have (with fewer posts) posted in here, so I thought I would do the same. Better late than never, right?

Here are some of my favorite things:

Film: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Videogame: Final Fantasy VII
Book: The Catcher In The Rye
Comic/Graphic Novel: Blankets by Craig Thompson
TV Show: The Office
Comedian: Demetri Martin
Actor: Edward Norton
Actress: Kate Winslett
Band: The Arcade Fire. No, The Beatles.
Solo Musician: Andrew Bird or Danny Elfman.
Podcast: THE TOTALLY RAD SHOW (followed by The Skeptics Guide to the Universe)

Hello Radlings,

As much as I'd like to say I've been watching from the beginning, that would be a lie. I started listening to the MP3 version on Episode 15, and finally got into the video feed for Episode 41. I'll never go back to audio only.

Believe it or not, there are still places in Canada where dial-up is the only feasible option for Internet. My routine for getting my weekly TRS fix involves a workplace with leaky firewalls, and USB thumb drive, and a stubborn donkey named Crapintosh.

Can't wait to weigh in on the important issues like Puzzle Quest sequels and arguments why The Wire trumps The Shield.

I am a new member to the TRS forums. I first heard of the show when Jeff was on 1Up Yours podcast and I liked that him and I shared the same exact thoughts on Bioshock. Bioshock is a story that only be told in a video game. From there he plugged the show and I decided to check it out. That's when I got hooked to the show. All four guys kick ass (Steve also) and since I started in the middle of the year I am looking back at past shows to see if I missed any suggestions.

Hey guys, I've been watching Rev3 for about a month now, love all of the shows, just haven't been getting involved in the community. Thought I might get in here now and hang around.

Huge fan of TRS!

Just wanted to say Hi Guys, you talked me into posting on a forum.
Love the shows, doing some rewind right now on the shows since the annivercelebration webbed last week, maybe even got you another girl fan! Or aided in it at least, she liked Dan (sorry Jeff, Alex, Jeff) but hopefully I can find a really good one for her to watch to get hooked.
Oh yeah, Hi everyone else who I don't know of. :p

Hey fellow TRS fans,

Well I've been watching since episdoe 1 and I finally caved in and joined the forums! I'm a a 25yr old graphic design student and live in the greater Los Angles area - Carson specifically. I just want to thank Alex, Dan, Jeff and Steve for continuing to making such a rad show (and convincing me to pick up Puzzle Quest too, rock!).

I look forward to chatting with you all.

Hey! I figured I'd intro myself since I've been a fan for a while now, and last night I had a dream that Jeff came to visit me. Which I have to apolagize for being a bad host Jeff. Sorry. I guess I wasn't on the ball in that dream. Oh, and Dan was there, but he just stayed in the bathroom. They both walked across the nation to visit me, I feel terrible. If you actually visit me, I promise it'll be better. And you can bring Alex.

No, I don't usually dream about you. Sorry.

I'm Devin, and I'm the tallest guy you'll ever know.

Hi all :)

Been watching the show for a couple months now, decided to register on here hehe :)

I'm not sure but I think TRS made me buy a PS3 and 37" HDTV the other day :D

Not had a console since the 8 bit Nintendo hehe

Awesome show guys, keep up the good work ;)

Hi everyone, I've been watching the show since around episode 35. I think it's a really cool show, and have been a loyal watcher ever since.

I'm from Toronto, Ontario, Canada and stumbled on this show, although I don't remember how, as I'm not a fan of any other revision3 shows.

Anyways, feel free to message me, and I look forward to taking part in the forums.

Hmm, I always thought you'd usually say "that being said" when you've said something and then say something to stand in opposite to what you said earlier.

An example of what I thought was proper use:
"I thought 'Return of the dwarf-eating coalminers' was a horrible movie. That being said, Sheryl McRufflery does a great Darth Vader impression."

Sort of because you've made your main point, but you wanted to add something of the opposite you found being worth saying, if only to mitigate what you said if it's negative, or to bring the praise down if it was positive.

Since we love Alex, and sometimes he's on Attack of the Show and if you watch Attack of the Show, I'd be very grateful, if you liked the User Created Contest : GORILLA DRIVING A ROCKET, could you do me a favor and vote it's freakin' brains out.

Love,

Hi, everybody! I'm a senior at the University of Oklahoma. I've been watching the show since about episode 30, although I went back and watched them all. I love the show, and just recently had to join the forums so I could jump into the Wire vs Shield debate. (The Shield is better, by the way.)

I've been a fan of the show since around episode #40. I'm working my way through the back archives now.

I work in New York City as a web designer (live in Brooklyn). I have a confession, I actually joined the forums because of Pop Siren. But I do love TRS! I'm also a big Diggnation fan, since episode #1 there.

Random trivia: My friend Steve looks remarkably like Dan. It's a little uncanny.

I've been a diggnation fan since the start, watched the Broken, have been watching TRS since episode 27 (keep meaning to get time to go back and watch the ones I missed), and I dabble in some of the other shows (popSiren, systm, etc). I finally decided that I should show some support in the forums too.

Been watching tekzilla and diggnation for a bit, not super long or anything, but yeah.

Keep up the good work guys!

I'm new to these boards, but have been watching for a few months now. I'm just starting to work my way through the archives now (and am pleased with how relevant the older episodes still are.)

I'm also a graphic designer (student and freelancer... but no, mostly just student) and plan on inundating TRS with as many backgrounds as I can muster in my spare time.

Also, Revision3 ought to give Jeff and his Returning Champs their own show. I'd definitely watch that.
