Been watching Rev3 from the beginning and before that TechTV.
I went to college for computer networking but now work in Audio Visual.
I'm an inspiring movie maker and have also done my fair share of acting in small community theaters.

Watched TechTV back in the day.. diggnation since ep 1 and TRS since ep 1.

I love shooters and adventure games, 360 and PC are my weapons of choice.

I'm a big fan of movies and while i don't know the ins and outs of each genre and i don't know the cast of each movie ever made... i know i like movies. I have a bit of a crush on independent films too.

I used to watch a lot of tv but have no secluded myself to a very select bunch of shows.

I do like comics but have not had much time to do recreational reading in college.

My name is Mark Dunne from Dublin, Ireland. I've being following all the revision3 stuff since Diggnation, with Kevin and Alex (Awesome). I've watch every episode of TRS and I fecking love it. ALex, Dan and Jeff all have such interesting points of view and it's always fun to see them argue. My taste in movies is more the Alex style. My taste in games lies firmly in the jeff camp. I like "The Wire" but I love "The Shield". It is the greatest show every, jeff your right. Thanks to all three guys for putting me onto Avatar the last of the airbenders, it's not on tv over here and without oyu high recomdemations I'd never of seen it. Guys keeps up the good work. I'm a 32 year old father of 2. I work at 9-5 boring desk job, basically selling motors and stuff to coke and pepsi. I love the movies and as a hobby write them. Just over the last six months to a year I've gotten into comics.

I've been a fan of diggnation since the beginning and was a fan of geekdrome shortly after that. I think TRS however outdoes them both. Your opening sequences are fabulous and the fact that unlike most podcasts out their, your not always sitting in the same place talking to the camera (not always bad don't get me wrong) make TRS standout!

I'll admit I'm new to the TRS fold, not just the forums. I was only introduced to Revision 3 a couple of months ago when my friend insisted I visit the site to see her face gracing the main Rev3 page. After admiring her for what I assume was a sufficient period, I began exploring the site and came upon something called the "Totally Rad Show" which seemed to actually be discussing topics I was, well, interested in! (Sorry, "Social Brew.")

Thus, through the power of geek-olympics and hosts who appreciate Stargate and make references to Top Gun and Life of Pi, I have become a full-fledged TRS fan. Look! I've even signed up for the rad forums!

And after that self-indulgent beginning, I suppose I could actually say a little bit about the person behind the story. My name is Liz and, while I am originally from the San Francisco area, I now live in Washington, DC, and miss the temperate weather of the Bay Area so very, very much. While I love my job, I hate the humidity. Fortunately, I have Netflix and many seasons of old "Doctor Who" to entertain me in air conditioned rooms!

If it was not for kevin alex would not even have trs show. there opinions are very critical. movies,games and tv are for entertainment not for disecting to the inth degree. these guys are in the industry sort of so the they look at content from the that light and not from a fan of movies,games and tv. This my grip of alot of critics, you need to remember 99% people dont have any idea of lighting effects or weathr it was filmed on a sound stage or on location. I'd never heard of the Totally Rad Show until I downloaded Miro a couple of weeks ago and saw it on there. I've watched quite a few of the shows since then, and I have to say I totally disagree with you. The passion they have for the subject matter totally comes across (for the most part) and that's one of the things I really like about the show. Things like lighting, CGI and location can all make huge differences to the feel of a movie, and most of the negative criticisms I've seen on the show are justified and certainly don't come across like industry insiders nit-picking unnecessarily.

My name is Martin..... "That said"(Dan-ish)or(Nad's) I would like to tell you why you are reading this. I found this site 4 weeks ago after discovering Kevin Rose and Alex A's, DiggNation. I was a devoted ScreenSavers fan years ago until a major cast(Kevin Rose) and name(AOTS) change. I must be honest Alex, I literally hhhhated you on the ScreenSavers/AOTS. Oh man, you reminded me of the over hyper guy on crack w/ a shiny smile. I was and still am a fan of Leo L., sort of(another story). Anyway, I am here why???... well, I watched a few Diggnation episodes and decided to see whom else I could find on Revision 3. To my surprise, I bump into a little show called Systm(Love that show). I have to say Patrick Norton, you are truly The TechGUY sorry, Leo. Anywho, I came across TRS soon after and noticed that Alex was on the show. Now remember, I had watched a few Diggnation episodes prior so, my opinion of Alex was already changing. Long story short. I watched "magical" episode 58 and by the end, not only did I subscribe to TRS on iTunes but, downloaded and watched every short quicktime episode 1-62 on my video ipod. I just finished the last episode this instance and here I am waiting today for 63. What can I say, you had me at episode 58 the first time watching it and TRS in general. Great job! I want to thank you for a wonderful experience watching bulk episodes at a time, w/c I called, "The Rad-a-thon." Dan, Alex, and Jeff, from the bottom of my heart. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am looking forward to many a shows to come. BTW, I am such a fan, I tattooed TRS to my profile name. I'm Warren from BC, Canada. I first got into Diggnation after seeing the commercial that Dan did for them. ("Is that Beyonce Knowles?"). I immediately went back and watched all the episodes. So, I really got into that, and got into Rev3. I loved Ctrl+Alt+Chicken, sad that it's gone. Then I saw Dan, Alex and Jeff host GeekDrome, and I couldn't wait for TRS when I heard that the three of them were making their own show. So, I've been watching since ep 1, and it didn't take long for TRS to become my favourite weekly podcast, period.

I don't really know how to start this.

I suppose the hackneyed, "From the beginning" will have to suffice.

So, a couple weeks ago, I was on a break between Summer/Fall semesters and had waaaaay too much time (and little money!) on my hands, and was lamenting the loss of the great TechTV, and the even greater Screen Savers (and Call For Help and Anime Unleashed and Fresh Gear and all that). I have been a fan from way back when Leo and Patrick first appeared together...when there wasn't much AT ALL to the set but an ugly table and a couple chairs.

Long story (relatively?) short, I died the slow, agonizing death in my heart and mind that I'm sure everyone else did when the station got bought out; the show bastardized...and finally remade into the atrocity that is "Attack of the Show".

So I forlornly (and in the grip of a great melanchol) sought out all the old folks from the channel and what they were doing, and eventually landed upon the slightly foreign shores of Revision3.

Well, I instantly grokked onto Tekzilla and joyously dug my heels into Patrick and all he was doing of late!

...and I was sadly non-plussed. (Please don't tell him - I still love him!)

So I began trolling all the other geeky media that Revison3 had to offer.

And I was mostly "meh" with what I found.

And I was loathe, loathe, LOATHE to even glance at The Totally Rad Show, because I H.A.T.E.D. Alex Albrecht with a burning nova of passion from way back when he took the helm at Screen Savers (and I suppose I associated the impending death of the show with him), and I knew goddamned well that anything he was involved with was going to be inane and puerile and appealing to the lowest common denominator of teh intarweb and eminently equal to all the dross that now populated G4TV.

But I had nothing better to do and so I dragged myself through episode 1 of The Totally Rad Show.

And I have done nothing but watch Dan, Alex and Jeff for the past two weeks and I have never been happier in my life about anything (...hyperbole? Yes. But I figure I can take license like that when gushing about these guys).

All joking aside - from the dick-(and fart and sweat)-jokes to the heart-felt idealism and high-falutin'-philosophizing that takes place when discussing everything from TRON and Hamlet to Bioshock and Halo; I wish dearly that I had friends like these whom I could talk to like this: I've very specific, or "niche" friends at the moment, whom I love dearly...but none that encompass all that I'm about, not like these guys. Because behind every low-brow, idiot moment, it's patently obvious that these guys are possessed of sharp minds, quick wits and talents and hearts huge beyond compare, and for that, I love 'em.

So.

I don't know if this was the correct thread ( or, more widely, the correct forum [no pun intended]) to post such rampant, rambling gushing, but...well, I've just come off a 14-hour day at school and work, and I am about two sheets (and eight beers) beyond buzzed, and the muse moved me, so y'all got to suffer through my madness. Apologies where necessary.

I've been watching Diggnation for a little over a year, and got into TRS about episode 20ish. Great stuff. Love the drinking-of-beers/ Alex & Kevin banter - but equally enjoy the chemistry of Dan, Jeff, and Alex on TRS. Their movie and Tv reviews are particularly entertaining. Although not an avid gamer, I find myself more and more interested in trying out the new games recommended.... I tend to follow Jeff's side of opinion on most everything... except for "The Shield" : Sorry, but didn't really do it for me!

Anyway, just wanted to say hello and would love to hear about music-tastes of TRS fans, too. I'm a huuuuge audiophile, so hopefully there are some forums leaning on a music-side of things.

Found out about TRS through diggnation back in the day. Used to be able to download the podcast at work, but that was blocked for a while, but some iTunes update bypassed it and was able to subscribe again.

Always try to make it out to live shows that are in the area of San Diego. I used to play video games to a point where I was pretty much addicted, but reality sunk in and now I waste my time surfing the net, watching the podcast and working for Samsung and the San Diego Chargers on gameday.

Anyways, huge fan of the show and anything rad.

I miss making music; I was in a band that almost went on a nationwide tour until some things happened. I started making music with a 1989 Nintendo Game Boy, but I never have time to sit down and work on it.
