In this episode, Jessica takes a look at the world's smallest media player along side the iPod Shuffle. Wil goes back in time to look at the classic games that turned his crank. Meanwhile, Hahn admits that even a super genius <who writes this crap> can make mistakes navigating the tech jungle. Then, he ponders if it's worth going 802.11n.

I gotta be honest, I work in a call center that's filled with Westinghouse TV's and all of the managers either have Samsungs or Viewsonics in their offices. The Westinghouse LCD's IMO are cheaply made, have bad menu navigation and get burn-in VERY easily. This is just off of personal experience but I'd say that the Westinghouse is there as one of those aforementioned screen size draw-in buys. Look at newegg's price range and you'll see what I mean, Westinghouse will be at the top of the list of screen size almost everytime for any certain price range.

Hahn,

I have the AVIC-D1 installed in my car now, and I have similar problems that you have. I've been through the "ADDRESS DOESN'T EXIST!" crap too. Pretty annoying. I still LOVE the unit though. I've been upgrading along with Pioneer every time they come out with a new unit. Excluding the one you have. In fact, they recently came out with a new one, with a price point of under a grand. I might check it out.

Hell, I still have the pics of me installing my very first pioneer unit, the old AVN series. In fact, it's so old, it's not a touch screen, and I had to also piggy back a DVD unit along with it to carry the GPS Map data. Of course, bypassing was much simpler back then. A simple ground of the parking break...

Anyway, I found the pics of that install from several years ago. This was the SECOND day of me owning this brand new Civic. I totally took everything apart. I'm the guy in the gray hoodie, my buddy Dave is the other guy. I remember having to dremel cut the front dash to change it into a double bin area so I could stack the DVD player, and the AVN unit on top of each other. I tied them together with cable ties! Maybe it will bring back memories of your AVIC install. Figured you'd enjoy:

PS - never start your car with your seats out of it. Otherwise you get to pay $65 to Honda to have them reset your ****ing airbag light. ANGER.

I decided to just link to an open directory so you guys could check out all the pics instead of trying to upload them all to the forum. Here's a link to the pictures:

Very nice episode as always. The rear view mirror part was cool. Good show, good peeps. Good stuff! The ipod shuffle is really cool. So fun that they compare it to that cube thing (that nobody would buy)

The first version of the mobiblu was actually REALLY popular. Got great reviews too. The revised version(one on the show) only adds to it, so i would assume it is still a top notch flash player. I personally wouldnt buy it because of the form factor. Would look kinda odd in my pocket.

Anyway, great show guys. Wish it was on more often though.

I must say the show has gotten better with each episode. Keep up the great work guys. Now if only you could release more episodes. Atleast twice a month.... one a week would be better but I know that's probably asking too much.

It's on schedule for next Friday. I'm the holdup right now since the bulk of the show is about PMA (Photo Marketing Association) and I have some voice overs to do.

Cheers!

Great episode.

I really enjoyed the 802.11n reviews cause I was thinking about getting the one that Apple has out. Also appreciated the HDTV stuff cause I have been looking at getting one for a while.

Hey Wil, If your looking for a really cool retro arcade check out Ground Kontrol. It up here in Portland, OR. If you are ever up this way you should check it out. They serve beer after 7 so if you come at night theres no kids. I stop into that place a couple times a month. I love playing TMNT and The Simpson with 4 players.
