realizing that you can go single seat in the gunships in Battlefield 2 and use the guided missile... then using the missile against someone that doesn't realize that you can smoke them when there's only one guy in the chopper.

Recent:
The whole Portal experience, beginning to end.
Playing Rock Band for the first time with 4 people. Almost adrenaline rush inducing the first time we all nailed a song.
A Little While Ago:
Getting an xbox 360. Unwrapping it was even fun with the hilarious babies on the packages. My first video game generation jump was getting my own SNES as an uprgrade from my Dad's NES. Between the dashboard, wireless controllers, HD, harddrive, Live, Live Marketplace, achievements, etc. booting up the 360 for the first time felt like the biggest leap from one generation to the next that I ever experienced.
Kingdom Hearts II - In the middle of the game where within minutes the game gives you Cloud and Squall fighting back to back and it lets you think for a second that they killed off a classic Disney character.
Classics:
Turning on Blades of Steel - Still stands up as best video game soundtrack ever imo.
Becoming Adult Link for the first time in OOT. After the super cool moment of obtaining the Master Sword, you get thrown into a very depressing situation 7 years later. Playing through for the first time, I was shocked and in despair that I wouldn't be able to see the world I had gotten used to again.

It's been said already, but playing Gears of War in HD on the first day I bought my 360. Epic. My jaw was on the floor for most of the day. I still don't think too many games have come near the graphics of GoW. I remember the in engine cut scene when the locust leader kills Lt Kim and there's all the fire and heat effects and the camera zooms from the two face to face, to you standing there watching it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QtGw8MYi2aI&eurl=http://gearsofwar.wikia.com/wiki/Minh_Young_Kim

I need to put another vote for the end credits to portal. I was singing that song for weeks :)
The firing squad in COD4, I don't want to spoil but anyone thats played knows why its so amazing.

Am I the only one here that thinks the Super Mario ending was pretty Rad? I played that game for hours - by the time I finished it I was so impressed with the game that it felt like an epic moment.
Also, I know many people didn't like it, but the Assassin's Creed cliffhanger was amazing! The final battle was interesting, but coming back to the lab and finding out all that information got me totally psyched for Assassin's Creed 2.
Portal is just a given, that entire game was perfect and the ending was not only consistent, but went beyond all expectations. The song was unbelievably Rad.

That was incredible. I kept waiting for the scene to cut away and when it didn't...I just sat there...stunned...I couldn't believe that just happened.
Hell, that whole game is a rad-ass moment.

There are a LOT of these moments that I can think of but here is one that comes to mind...........
Hmmmmm, dare I say the ENTIRE game of Metal Gear Solid!?!? C'mon, that game was INCREDIBLE from start to finish, especially the ending. (Gray Fox dies, Metal Gear is destoryed, jeep/turret fight with Liquid.)

I can't decide between that or the end credits of Portal (which, are so much better when you played through and didn't know were coming).

Man, I've always wanted to try the Shenmue series. I still have my Dreamcast in 100% PERFECT condition! Is the series really that awesome? Although one thing I do remember hearing about it is....."do you know where I can find some sailors?" LOL :D

I never got why that became a big joke..the sailors thing is so early in the first game and is short and has little meaning and never happens again.
But yeah go track it down on Amazon ..it's cheap then snag Shenmue II for Xbox and/or buy the import PAL version for Dreamcast on Ebay...might need a bootdisc to play the pal version.
Too bad the series will never be completed as it is the greatest thing Sega ever made IMO.

Wow, SEGA is and always will be my favorite company, so to say that it's some of their best work really makes me wanna check it out. I'm gonna check Amazon right now.

Sweet! and Dreamcast is my fave console ever.
I will say the first game starts off a little slow but by disc two things pick up and when finished with the first game Shenmue II starts off where the first one left off and the second game is FAR FAR more action oriented.
Just an FYI.
But the game was breakthrough visually in 1999 and so much detail and effort went into the game..at the time was the most expensive video game ever made at 70$ million to make.
I really hope you enjoy it. :D

The first big moment in video game history for me and my brother was when we got the flying ship in the original NES final fantasy. You could go anywhere and the end was in sight on one of the best games ever made.
