Anyone else watch this shit?...seriously terrible camera work. they seemed to be going for that student film, shakky camish style, but it didnt work. ok writing, good acting, Kyle Chandler was great as the coach, the football in it was pretty good, but lacked emotion.

5/10

Okay folks. I just watched this show and came away with one prevailing opinion: NBC has invented what can only be described as "white blackface". It is true that football is a cultural entity in Texas (the team that the "Dillon" Panthers played was actually the same school that Jon and I went to), but to think that it's as over the top as they showed it made me cringe the whole time. They took the tone of the recent movie (which I LOVED), blended it with Down's Syndrome and then proceeded to drag it behind a truck on a gravel road (Sorry, the whole "small town Texas" vibe is really out in full force tonight). It wasn't even put together well. At one point there was not only a boom in the shot, but THE ****ING BOOM OPERATOR TOO. The only piece of reality I saw in the show was when the wife of the dealership owner was hitting on the drunk fullback. That happened to a bunch of guys in my class. Hey, if you're ever in the market for a new or used Ford truck you should head on over to Covert Country. TRUST ME.

I have so much to say about this show but all I can manage to do right now is punch this computer. I'll try to formulate something a little more coherent for the show on Friday. Night. Lights.

(screaming and cursing at God and anyone within earshot)

Sorry I had a flashback there for a second. I did, however, like the part when the kid got his neck broken. GO CHAPS!!!

Haha. Dude, Graham called me and he was so embarrassed by this show he couldn't even put words together. He was furious. It was pretty funny. There's no way I was going to watch this ass-fest.

Alright, how could anyone think they could make a TV show about a football team. They can't even make a good reality show out of the concept.

Who's the audience for this?

Guys who like football would rather watch actual football....

that's why they put it on tuesday nights instead of fridays.

the audience is for hs kids that play football, ppl that played football in hs and now want to go back to their glory day, but lost the time machine bid on ebay and the obvious answer...ppl that loved "Early Edition" .

The pilot is almost exactly the same as the movie in terms of shooting style, music, acting etc. Where's the problem?
