The show was lackluster for the most part (Wii comes with WiiPlay, wtf), but I think Dan brought the idiocy, especially saying the Simpsons show has characters you care for.
Dan, I call you out! I'll be waiting at sunset and highland to pop your head off like its a beer lid.
Q'Plah! Bring it *****.

WoW you must be the first Troll on here. Congrats dude!
So he said WiiPlay instead of WiiSports. We know what he meant. Like you have never mixed up what you were talking about. It's not like he is Fox News.
Of course people care about the Simpsons. They have been coming into our living rooms for 18 years. The Family Guy is a show of just random jokes...that don't age well. When Bart sold his soul to Milhouse...only to have him trade it for ALF pogs...I felt for him.
The only question I have is....who did you sell your soul to?

Chill pill 500mg for you, just like your doctor told you so many times before.

The best thing about being an atheist is that you toss your soul away like its a used tissue, or Danny T's head.
Trolling or not, I'm very disappointed in TRS and wanted to love it... but it didn't sound like any of them knew what they were talking about.
It would be forgivable if they were all noticably drunk... and more enjoyable. Or if the show was me uppercutting Danny T's head off on a repeated loop.

That's a lot of misdirected anger right there... C'mon, it's just a silly funny show with people speaking about things they like.

Misdirected? Or unuppercutted?

Why don't you create a podcast then and share your wisdom with the masses.
Didn't know what they were talking about?? It is an OPINION based podcast. It's three guys talking about how they feel about recent movies, video games and things like that.
If you don't agree with them that is fine. You made your case and thoughts heard. I am sure you now have something better to do than troll on a podcast forum for a podcast you didn't dig. We will let you get back to whatever it is you were doing.

Uppercutting the air... hoping for some lovely face to fit that space that I so desperately wanted to fill. :'(

I liked dan the Best of the Bunch. I would say if Alex was supposed to be the Funny one, he didn't bring his A game here, but it was not the worst podcast, and I don't think any of the host deserve physical pain.
The Simpsons have a lot more character depth in it's Pinky then Family guy. If you find Peter Griffin more charming and Funny then Homer Simpson, then we have nothing to talk about ;)
Family guy is funny though, and the Simpsons has run it's course. Overall though the Simpsons are still a classic Family guy will never be.

I'm not saying Family Guy is good... It's bad. But the simpsons are just as bad as Family Guy. The only difference is that The Simpsons has a history of good episodes. If the Simpsons didn't have that history before the last few seasons, it would already be cancelled.
Alex is funnier drunk. Alcohol is to Alex as Spinach is to Pop-eye.

Dude, chill. Its a podcast. If you dont like it then dont watch it.
Its the Internet, not TV. Its not like TRS takes the place of another show in the schedule and forces one of your favourite shows of the air. There are plenty of space for all kind of shows.
If I felt the urge to tell the hosts of shows that I didnt like that I would like to hit them I wouldnt get anything else done.

Hats off to you guys for the first show. Knowing this i understand why it wasnt "totally Rad" alot of the stuff is still being worked out. I will give it a few months before i think uppercutting anyones head off is a good idea. I think alcohol should be involved though, it seems to work on diggnation.

It's not the fact that I don't like it that makes me want to uppercut somebody.
It's the fact that so many people will watch it and if they don't know any better will actually believe these guys, even though they are just normal guys that don't know anything.
It's kinda like when someone mentions something obviously wrong, but you can't fix it and people will take it verbatum. Not that they did that a lot here, but I can see this show being a lot of that.
Plus Danny T looks like a douche.

OK Seamus. Let's see some proof. I want you to lay out everything they said that's wrong and put it here. Make me believe you.

I checked IP addresses, and unless seumas (which was an odd spelling to begin with) moved out of his Mom's basement in Colorado, and relocated to SoCal it is a different guy.
He HAS been warned though (via PM). Nothing wrong with a different opinion, but there are ways to say things, and ways to say things and sound like an asshat. There is some latitude for long time members - but as a newbie, this guy is borderline to trolling and breaking the "don't abuse other members" ToS rules.

If you uppercut Danny T, I will get Chuck Norris to roundhouse kick you in the face. And I think we all know how much that would hurt.

Hey there, man. I appreciate your feedback on the show. I admit that I misspoke in reference to the bundled game on the Wii (when I first watched the episode I cringed hearing myself say WiiPlay instead of WiiSports), but hey, I'm also the guy who said 78 minutes was less than a half-hour. Sometimes the thing you are thinking isn't the thing that comes out of your mouth. But I want you to know that I take great pains to get information correct and to be able to speak knowledgeably on the topics I bring up on the show. If there are other errors, please bring them to my attention.
Also, you are correct in characterizing the show as an "opinion" show, no doubt. But I would also submit that three of us are much more informed than the average guys on these topics. Hopefully that will become apparent in the coming weeks. You all know how knowledgeable Alex is on tech, Dan is a professional director actively working in the industry and veritable encyclopedia of movies, and I would be happy to go toe-to-toe with anyone on the planet about videogames (I was a professional videogame reviewer before you were born, probably :). Anyway, I'm not trying to brag or change your opinion - you are entitled to it. I just hope you know we are not ENTIRELY shooting from the hip, and that we will endeavor to make the show as accurate and informed as possible.
Thanks for watching

Props to you Jeff for not giving into the flame bait. It was a pilot episode and so to expect it to be as good as it will be is just ridiculous. But if this show was any indication, it will be a great show. Ignore the nay-sayers and do what you guys love doing. There will be a bunch of us watching.

I agree. When I say it is an opinion show and that it's just average guys talking about rad stuff...it is obviously more than that.
Just hearing you guys talk on the first episode (not even counting other podcasts) I know you three know more than your average person on these topics...even more than the people at Game Stop =0).
It's just the way it is handled it is more accessible than other shows.

Too soon?

Hooray for making it a pecker contest. :\
Anyway, I think you should buy a PS3, Jeff. Resistance, VF5, and Motorstorm are all terrific (Motorstorm online is an unbelievable riot), there are a handful of interesting games on the Playstation Store, Casino Royale on your HDTV will make you grin like a child, and then there's folding@home to ease your wanton consumer conscience.
