Hi,

I was looking at RSS feeds for Revision3 content. I am very surprised to see that Revision3 is not yet have Media RSS feeds.

Media RSS spec:- http://search.yahoo.com/mrss/mrss

It would be great if Revision3 can implement Media RSS. Media RSS allows you do many things:-

1) Grouping different media types representing same content with flexibility to mark the default content (media type)
2) Media metadata
3) Captions/text for time

This way, you don't have to provide separate feeds for different media-type (mov, ogg etc).

<media:group /> to group all different media types representing same content and you can also mark the default content type, which could be flv.

You can look at Google Video feeds to see how they are doing. I can imagine that's the only place where they provide different media-types for same content with enclosures and media:player to render default media type.

Please let me know, if you need any further info (use-cases, help etc).

Thanks

Spam? Hard to say. Odd first post though.

Media RSS feeds ar interesting, but for Rev3 are pretty much handled by iTunes for "subscripution" type feeds. It would be nice to have a Media feed wrapped around each of the downloads on the shows web pages, but can you imagine the server hit when DN gets released? In many respects you want to pace out the feeds.
