Anyone have a powerbook g4 (mine is a 1ghz, 512mb [2x256mb])
I want to upgrade the ram... anyone here ever done that before on this model. This seems to have 2 - 256mb chips.
Any help would be appreciated. thanks

It's rather easy. Depending on what model you have (12", 15", 17") there is a panel on the bottom with screws and once you take it off there are instructions on how to seat the RAM modules printed inside. A good place to get RAM is www.macsales.com.

I have done the upgrade. Powerbook G4 15" came with one 512mb card and added an additional. Got a kingston chip from compusa for like $20 after rebate (512mb). You have to make sure the ram has the right specs, but there is no special considerations because its a mac. Get the right speed and size and ur good to go.
