Alex, I'm pretty sure that you've spelled the doctor's name wrong! Shouldn't it be "Dr. Kirtz von Hasenpfeffer" instead of "Hossinfeffer"?

Just a small side note, but you know how them doctors are...

CAC is not done... yup you heard it here it's n.o.t. done. Just trying to figure out how it's coming back, plus TRS has taken up a lot of my time and Girls on Film (girlsonfilmshow.com) has taken up a lot of Heather's time. Also there is some sniffing around by some TV channels that we need to look at. So don't worry all, you have not seen the last of Karen and Dr. Kirtz Von Hossinfeffer!!!

no offense Alex, but please don't be like Jay in theBroken section. If you are going to announce that it's not dead give us a projected release date or something. Makes it really hard to believe you when you just say "It's not dead" but have no time frame. Like how the broken was gone for 2+ years. Is CAC going to have an episode in the next 6 months? 2 years? etc? give us something more please.

I'm gonna start a "Bring Back CAC" viral campaign featuring 60 second YouTube videos featuring geeks cooking their favorite lazy-quick meals.

I was gonna process the video too look like old silent movies, try to find some public-domain rag-time for a soundtrack and add titles. I'll call it "The Minute Chef."

Of course, now that I let the idea out, I better get working on it.

*Meaning Kraft, or some other milk-based crap. Normally I buy REAL cheese, but grilled cheese has to be made with the fake stuff.

If you get some good quality cheese (not the stuff you can buy at the store for $2 for 8oz brick) you can make a totally awesome tasting grilled cheese.

But for the most part, the Kraft American cheesefood slices to make a good grilled cheese :) And for a really good one it really has to be Kraft brand...I've tried other brands and the cheapie ones...and they never seem as good as the Kraft.

I use cheddar aged for nine years purchased at Mar's Cheese Castle in Kenosha, Wisconsin. They make it, and it is the best cheddar I have ever had. One slice of it has more flavor than fifty pounds of the "proccess cheese food" that you are talking about. I even Fed-Ex it to my Dad and Stepmother back in Oregon as a gift for whatever occasion.

It would be so awesome if it came back ... I'm getting tired of the same old things LOL and everything else that I make sucks.

Back to Crab Cakes, Monte Cristo's I guess... I've gotten pretty good at them, but it's getting tiresome...

I tried watching some cooking channels on TV, but it's like... ya... you have a kitchen and the tools... I have a bachelor's apartment, with a george foreman grill and a stove/oven LOL. Plus the makeshift collection of pots & pans are desperately in need of something to do.

Oven gets used a lot though... for making pizza's frozen store bought :D COME BACK CTRL+ALT+CHICKEN!!!!

What irony!

See, I'm new to this whole podcast thing (hush, you were new once too) and I found Rev3 and CAC and got all into it. The girlfriend and I watched episodes together and even got excited about taking our insanely un-culinary asses into the kitchen to cook something besides hot pockets and over pizzas.

We made a week of it.... CAC recipes for dinner every night. We cooked together. Bonded. We played with fire (Bananas Foster) and got drunk on 80 proof banana liquer (again, Bananas Foster). Even if it wasn't perfect (Bananas Foster, yet again) or gave us amazingly terrible constipation (do not do cheese pie and manicotti on adjacent nights) we enjoyed the time together, thanks to Alex and Heather. And we took pictures of all our dishes to send in.

But....*sigh*... being a Linux user with an automated podcatcher, I never looked at the release dates. I missed CAC's prime by almost a year.

At this point, I know Alex's post is waaaaaay outdated. I can only imagine the things that must be keeping you from putting out more episodes. So, Alex, this is especially for you....

I guess I've been living under a rock for the past two years and didn't even know what Ctrl+Alt+Chicken was all about. I started watching it three days ago and I have to say that show is great! I "LOL" all the time seeing Alex and Heather try to make those recipes work. Plus, I learn about recipes I've never heard about before.

Revision3 has to resurrect that show, just a monthly thing would be enough.

There's a difference (in my mind at least) between 'not in production' and 'no longer in production'. 'No longer' implies that its not going to be produced anymore. 'Not in' implies that at the moment its not being produced. There's the difference. I'm not a 'tard' for pointing that out.

There will always be hope for this show. Just remember the broken.. Wasn't there like a year and a half interval between broken 3 and 4? Now there's talk of a fifth. Everyone, just hold on to that thought and the same may happen with CAC. It will be back some day!

I feel the same way. It had a good following when it kicked off, but the flavor of the whole site was different back when it was being produced, so it looked as though it didn't mesh with the rest of the shows happening at the time. Now that we have all this variety, it's due a comeback....and what a comeback it could be!

There is no reason that you can't do it. Find someone, anyone... grab the guy from diggreel, shut that down, and get him to cook shit... it's not that hard ... it's a different spin on things.

Maybe having a "comedy" man cook shit with a hawt chica will spice up the "family" of shows.

I'm gonna have to agree with nextgenxbox. CAC wasnt just awesome because of the content but because of how alex and heather presented it. Heather needs to get on a Rev3 show anyway =]

I disagree... that should be a part of what winelibrary is. I don't watch the show, but does he not recommend foods for wines?

Also, I agree Alex and Heather are CAC. I'd love to see the show come back, especially since I've gotten into watching Good Eats and want to just try out new dishes.

I wish it came back, but Alex doesn't really have the time... He's doing TRS, Diggnation, and his Project Lore thing. He's going up and down to SF and doing all sorts of stuff... I just wish CAC came back though but I highly doubt it at the moment...

I believe Alex has been quoted as telling a fan that he wanted to do CAC again, but Rev3 didn't. Also, yes he is busy NOW. He's probably seen that CAC won't be coming back anytime soon and has moved to other projects. I always hate people giving the reason of "He's really busy" because honestly, if Alex wanted to do CAC and saw a way to do it (i.e. Rev3 support, money, etc.) then he would make the time to do it. The same goes for Kevin and theBroken.

Although I liked the show, I'm not desperate for its return. However, if Prager has the budget to drag the Diggnation crew across the US and to other countries, claiming it is a money issue is BS. They could have a crew in LA to support a number of shows shot in LA. I get that SF makes sense for tech production, but the lifestyle shows should be based where the entertainment talent is based.

I really wish it weren't the case but if I were a betting man, my money would be on CTRL+ALT+Chicken not making a comeback, and I will miss it.

I want/wanted to make my own version... maybe after I get the hang of making Never Ending Rant... but then again I wouldn't want people to think of it as a rip-off of CAC... more of a tribute to it.

I did a spin off episode of my homebrew beercast, a cooking show called "eating beer" where all the recipes had a beer element to them, using our homebrewed beer. We wanna make a new ep soon. (first ep was never online, twas beta, but came out good, first time I edited 2 cameras, One wide screen one standard. What a bitch!

Yea I was thinking maybe a show called "man meals".... where I cook things that are quick and easy but also good... wanted to find a female too, to make more feminine meals... We were originally going to incorporate it into Never Ending Rant, but thats long enough already lol.

Yeah, I've thought of doing my own cooking show or well a comedic/white trash take on cooking.

The show would be called "Double Wide Creations" and it wouldn't really be a cooking show. I'd be improving T.V. dinners and ramen noodles and other foods by adding other foods with it.

I always thought it would be funny.

A podcast is a little different than a book in my opinion... I've only read; a man, a can, a plan, and not his other titles but it was extremely redundant.

I don't even think they put any thought into some of the "recipes"... you basically throw in a can of (insert random can of food here) in with (insert random meal) on EVERY single meal in the book.
