I saw Fred`s Power Girl Post and figured this would be a good place to post really crappy covers, or art in general.
I was just reading Ultimate Fantastic Four and i really really don`t like it (its dropped) but i was staring at the cover and i couldn`t believe how horrible it is. Say what you will about Salvador Larroca, he's not my favorite but i found him to be at least average. this cover though, is horrendous

Look at Sue Richards! she has a hair lip! Reed looks like he just smelt a bad Fart!
there are some really crummy panels inside the issue as well and I'll post them later when i'm done work and i'm at my own PC.
I look forward to seeing some of the crappy art you guys have found this week
also feel free to bash Greg Land and Rob Liefeld as much as you want

remember when she wore that horrible cut out four on her chest? her boobs were constantly hanging out and she would be wearing this while standing next to her 4 year old son? it seemed just a bit out of character.......:rolleyes:

I don't remember Sue's costume with the cutout 4 at all. Which is probably for the better. It looks terrible.
Jessica Alba's head always looks like it doesn't belong on her body. It's bugged me ever since Dark Angel. Weird.

Yikes. On that first FF cover, Sue looks likes she's pregnant and going to eat you b/c she has a random craving.

Why would anyone choose to fight crime in these ridiculously stupid costumes? Are you more effective with a leotard riding up your crouch? Every time Psylocke shows up I can't help but wonder if she's cold. Don't give me any of that, "it's to distract criminals" nonsense either. Kang the Conqueror isn't interested in Ms. Marvel's assets.
Cassie Sandsmark's current costume is the best in the history of comics. Pair of jeans and a red top.

plus how do you fight crime in shoes like that. i dont think its possible to run while wearing those let alone beat up magneto.

So true...but does that have to be a bad thing? Why is badass sexy the only allowable sexy in comics?
Sue could pull off that slight stuffy librarian who goes nuts when she takes off her glasses kind of sexy.
Sometimes I start to think it's weird that sexy women in comics are often depicted as heartless badasses and ultimately act like men.

(i looked for heroines who wore heels but couldn't find any)Emma Frost barely counts as having a costume on that cover. Pretty lady but completely impractical clothing. I like the way she's drawn in Astonishing. Because she's wearing pants most of the time. Yeah.
Also you made a mistake by searching for "heroines in heels". Replace "heroine" with "stripper" and you may get better results.
So true...but does that have to be a bad thing? Why is badass sexy the only allowable sexy in comics? I don't have an issue with Sue simply being smart, tough and physically "normal". The trouble is they keep trying to draw her in unconvincing tough-girl poses as some kind of supermodel with her bits bouncing all over the place. It's cold in the Negative Zone. Christ, pull on a sweater already.

And good morning to you too Fred.. There's something to read in the morning.. In fairness, you got to admit that is a hot cover.. I like Greg Horn's covers on Emma Frost.. Grant it, this is an odd one..
I'm not saying it's not hot - it's actually made hotter by the unexpected lack of peeing

Really? I thought it was pretty good. I was wondering who the artist was and hoping that the actual art of the book was going to be like that.

When I first saw the Power Girl cover I was like " ok....she's a porn star/super hero." Then I thought about how bad the over all cover was.
it's so bad that I couldn't even bring myself to mention the travesty that is Black Canary

I liked Horn's covers on that Emma Frost series too. It's just completely unrealistic to expect someone to fight crime in those shoes.
Back to topic: 52 had the most inconsistent interior artwork of the books I read this week. Such a visually bland book. Story's good though.

i agree with you. i think 52 has had some pretty bad art in it's run but this weeks issue was horrible. by far the worst the series has seen so far.

i really didn't notice how bad the art was in 616FF, art needs to be pretty horrendous for me to take notice and i guess it struck me as just average. is this guy the regular series artist or what?

its funny, i always enjoy the art on USM but sometimes (like this issue) you can tell that Bagley was rushed. but i wouldn't call it yuck by any means, maybe in comparison to his better work..........
I like Bagley and Garney because they get books out on time. They don't need fill-ins. And also, the art is ok. It's not great, but it's not bad.

I agree (with various people I guess), I think this week's 52 art was the worst of the run so far, but I look past it due to the consistantly improving storyline and the fact that I can count on it week in week out.

You right click them and pick save as or whatever similar option you see
after that, you need somewhere on the web to keep them. photobucket.com is the one I use. It's free and easy. I think that waffleimages is free too but I don't know anything about it. Anyway, once the image is uploaded there you can link to it here like this:
