If you cut those things out, might as well cut out email, message boards, heck, even the internet. heh. Even if it is mostly a cesspool, doesn't mean no good could come from it. what kind of website are there most of on the internet? haha.

Anyways, i dont mean to make a place to replace here. But just another venue for the show! You know?

Anyways, i dont mean to make a place to replace here. But just another venue for the show! You know? No, I am still anti LJ, MySpace, and Facebook. Personal blogging is great for self gratification, but in reality who cares? I understand the attraction - I was involved in the great internet landrush on homesite and placeles like that back in the mid 90's. In those days we had crappy websites designed in HTML using notepad, with blinking text, autoplaying music, and really bad layouts. Kids these days have it easy with exactly the same thing being given to them as templates.

We measured our friends physically - you could count them face to face. You could talk to them face to face. If you had similar interests, you knew it because, well, you were hanging out together doing those thing together. You traded bootleg dub tapes (audio casettes). If you were lucky, you had email accounts (OK, I have had email since the late 80's, and I was working full time as an 18/19 yo).

My anti social networking websites rant is that they are a trend that is unfortunately replacing real relationships/friendships. The internet is both bringing up together, and isolating us at the same time.

I agree to some extent. But there are idiots in almost everything on the internet(as in life in general). I like myspace because people have found me from school that i thought i would never hear from again. I know who are my friends, and who aren't. Same thing with live journal. The growing trend seems to be to hate all these websites by generalization.

Who cares about my blogging? My friends.

Anyways, since this has gotten pretty off topic, I'll stop after this reply if you'd like.
