Isn't she PRECIOUS?!

Now can I get a collective, "AAAWWWWWWWWWWW!!!"?

This is Emma, born February 28th. She's too little to come home yet, but she's mine!! She is from her mama's last litter. The last little girl! She's from a litter of six and has five rolly-polly brothers. See the boys?

I swear that Nickolay chose the most unique dog name ever. Not, really, I mean, it's not like Emma doesn't have a grandfather named Max, and a father named Max (the second), and a brother named Max (the third)!! Nope. Not at all. Totally. She does. He saw this picture and damned near whimpered when he said, "Awww!" No really, it was cute! He's a sucker for puppies!

(she's the one in the top right)

Oh, the adorable-ness! I have stuff for an adult dog, everything. Now I get to go buy puppy stuff!

And now lastly (for now), this is obviously me and Emma. She had fallen asleep right before this. The pre-flash woke her up a little.

She'll be coming with me to work for a while, then she'll stay with Max at Nickolay's house. And still coming in a lot. She'll be spoiled rotten! And yes, I am going to continue to spoil Max as much as I already do!

I'm SO GLAD that Yoda likes other animals. And since she's around a lot of other critters his size (she's actually a little smaller!!), she should be cool with him.

Dana had the coolest indoor puppy set-up I've ever seen. They pretty much clear out one of the living rooms and put down this giant blue tarp and a metal fence (as you can see a bit in some of the pics). Instead of the fence door, they use a lower plywood one that the mommy and daddy can get over to their babies. Lots of space for them to run around and play in. They've got an area in there with puppy pee pads and they're being trained to use them, and a separate feeding area, and a separate sleeping area with pillows and blankets and lots of soft stuff. And still tons of room to play! I give total props to this family's dedication to starting the puppies off right. It's VERY clear that they care very much about the puppies. So I strongly believe I am getting a puppy from good people. :)

I've grown up with animals. Children are a handful as well, and since I can't conceive, animals are children to me. :) The handful of a baby animal is worth it. Very, very worth it.

tehy are cute, but puppies are too much of a handful to take care ofYea my dog had like 8 puppies and like 3 of them came out dead. I kept 2 and gave away the rest. Thats how I have 3 pugs now. Oh and enjoy them why they are small.

LOL, happy birthday! But an animal is a terrible gift to spring on someone unsuspecting or on impulse. :)

Don't get one because they're cute. Understand the commitment first and plan. :)

Speaking of which, I got a second cat yesterday. Rasta. I figure that Yoda needs a playmate since I will probably be spending a lot of time with the puppy. Her name is Rasta, and she's an 11-year-old Maine coon cat. Yeah, she's a senior. So's Yoda. He's 19.

Dressing up a dog is stupid. Don't subject your pet into wearing clothes. It's a dog not a person.

Hon, don't say that to someone who can't have kids. To those of us infertile, the best we're likely to get is pets. So let us enjoy them. And dress them! :) After all, we don't get the joys of buying baby clothes for our children.
