Hey guys, just wondering how many of you are on Road Runner, and if you're noticed severely slower speeds in the past 2 weeks.
I've gone from 800KB/sec max download down to 300-400KB/sec max download.
The **** is going on? They're still charging the same amount.
5Mbps my ass

Oh, ok it's you! Thank god. That sounded like a spam subject line. But you know what. STOP ****ING COMPLAINING!!! I've been on 256kbps for the last 8 months. I had 1Mbps before that. I'm tearing my ****ing hair out trying to update my games and get some BT traffic through! Not to mention trying to downloading video podcasts.

Eric you need to calm down buddy. Every post I've seen from you is instigative or aggressive. Chill. What he is saying is that he pays for a service of 800kb/s and only gets half of that. He has a right to complain whether or not your connection is slower.
*Deep breathe*
Anyways, I have RoadRunner and it is probably one of the worst ISPs out there. I have had the same problem as you. You should definitely get on tech support @ www.rr.com - They can check the strength of the signals for your modem. I actually have gone through 3 or 4 modems because all the ones they give me break. So usually when I have a slow in speed it tends to be the modem.
Good luck.

Dude, notice he's saying KB. Kilobytes. Not bits. And from someone whose max download has been 30kB/s that's a monster speed increase. Anyway, you may want to check my other posts, i've got over 1100 after all and most are just random bullshit.

...Yes I understand that. Did I state any confusion?

sheesh, damn technicalities.
8000kb/s is what I used to download at.
3000kb/s - 4000kb/s is what I get now.
Is that clear enough?

Yep we got Road Runner and it's been offline along with their Digital Phone Service for nearly a week here...
They said they had "Outages in several areas" and it was "Scheduled Maintenance" and their "Technicians were aware of the Problem"...
That statement doesn't make much sense to me if it was "Scheduled" and they were aware of the "Problem"...
It's working today and hopefully will stay on... This is the first time in all the years I have had internet service in the many states I've lived in, that it has been out for more than a day or two at the most...
As far as being "Slower" I can't tell yet unless it stays working for a few days...
