Giants will go all the way and win this time. You can't go wrong with Zito.

Hell no. He does NOT belong on the same record card as the Babe and Hank Aaron, who earned their records on talent instead of by using illegal drugs. I get extremely angry when going into this, and my co-workers KNOW not to ever bring this up in my presence. My morals are pretty damned strong, and what he's done is cheat.

And Zito can go to hell. He was my favorite payer until he went to the goddamned enemy.

I may be an A's fan, but I'm fair. I also think McGwire should be dropped from the records.

For the record, I am a Giants fan, but I am also a realist. The Giants just are not going to be more than a mediocre team at best this year. Barry Zito was a bad acquisition. Way overpaid for what he can do. His fastball, average at best a few years ago, is not that much faster than his curveball. He has always been a flyball pitcher which is fine and dandy if he has a great outfield, which he certainly doesn't. Barry Bonds is a great player despite what Aria may think, but he is a subpar defensive player now. Hell he is a LIABILITY. Look for Zito to have a 13-11 year.

He can make contact with the ball, but the power that's knocking them out of the park so easily is not his own.

I'm from Pittsburgh, so I'm genetically predisposed to hating Barry Bonds. hatehatehate

And also, there's no precedence for dropping Mark McGwire from anything. Granted, he looks like such an asshat after the fact, and he certainly took Andro and whatever when he played, but the substances were not against the rules at the time.

While I agree that baseball didn't have a firm policy at the time and supposedly his hormones were doctor-prescribed, what stands is that sportsmanship and fairness is still supposed to be alive in pro sports, and part of fairness is to start on even footing. It's not fair to give one guy an unfair advantage.
