$30 really isn't that much cheaper, doesn't make too much since if that was the only reason you got one. Now, if you got it just because you liked the Zune better then I could see that.

Dude, I was in a similar dillema for my sister, I have a video iPod and was suggesting a Zune for her (partly because i wanted to try it out) but she got the iPod video - the were the same price man. Couldn't YOU put up the difference? Not like the Zune is a complete turd or anything in any case.

I agree, in it not being a complete turd. If I had to choose something other then an iPod it would be a Zune. It's nice, but not an "iPod killer" IMO.

The main argument I heard towards getting the Zune over an iPod was the widescreen. Sure the widescreen is cool, but it's freaking Apple. They come out with a new iPod every 5 minutes, you can bet a widescreen iPod is on the way. The iPhone has a widescreen, it's only a matter of time until the iPod does as well.

If your going to use it mainly when exercising I would suggest getting an iPod shuffle. You don't need 8gb worth of songs when exercising (unless you exercise for hours upon hours). 1 gig will do just fine, it's a hell alot cheaper and is tiny so it's perfect for exercise (clip it on your shirt and go).

Then I would suggest going with a 4 gig nano. If money is an issue I think this is your best choice. It's definitely an upgrade from the 1gb sandisk player you have now and has the screen (and small size) you seek.

I am going to try and get one of the red ones they are so pretty :D. I will probably go with the 8gb(unless they decide to release a red video ipod) I have just about enough for it. I like the idea of carrying most of my music collection with me. It's only 12gbs.

Gotcha, the only thing close to red video iPod at the moment is the U2 special edition.

Get a Zune, survived a 5 foot drop (on tile in Office Depot before I went somewhere else and ordered one at a cheaper price) along with virtually scratch proof.

Unless Microsoft does something incredibly drastic they will kill it off. It is a money pit for them, and with Apple changing the whole DRM landscape, MS and their "one buck plus" piracy tax is a lost cause...

I could buy a Ipod and then get someone to take it out of its case and put it in a skull. Then I would have an Iskull or a Zkull if done with a zune. That would make me stand out.

After 30 flips of the coin it ended up being 17 Zune 13 iPod. Had to do 30 flips cause 10 and 20 flips came up ties. :D
