You can get the shows in the following video formats: wmv, quicktime, xvid and theora. As far as I know... none of these will play on my PS3 without being first converted.
What is the likelihood of a new format being available for download (to cut out the frustrating conversion)?
I know its inevitable - I admitted to owning a PS3 - let the flaming begin.....

I won't flame ya because I personally like the PS3. Anyway, yeah, things could change because of the Network Update feature. If there is a great enough need, Sony will usually address it. A raw, non-updated PSP is good, but with all the custom firmwares and new updates it is GREAT. Wait a sec! ........CUSTOM PS3 FIRMWARES!?!?!?!?!? IT COULD HAPPEN!

Hehe I doubt you will get flamed for owning a PS3. But you are wrong. Quicktime Small will play on PS3 albeit very blocky and look poor. You can always point the web browser to the site and watch the embed flash episodes. The PS3 browser can do that. Or if you are feeling really adventurous you can install Linux on that mother and watch any of the formats ;)

I also would love to download Diggnation and other Revision 3 shows directly to my PS3 and watch them on my big screen. I have my computer hooked into my TV for the last week and I really like it but I can't keep this setup. Also I have watched some Diggnation episodes via web browser with zoom function on the PS3 and that is ok. It doesn't have to be HD. Please add this file format to your releases. It is some sort of MPEG.

Convert your PS3 into an XBOX 360. You can then enjoy Revision3 content in glorious "broadcast quality" WMV streamed from your PC.
But, as long as you're transcoding. Get the xvid format and burn a video DVD/RW. That should look fine on the PS3.

But I already converted my Xbox360 into my PS3. Besides not having to use any other computer or app is what I'm looking for. Straight up Download and watch.
Install Linux on that ***** and watch it however you want.
