I just saw that this game is also out for the PSP, I have a PSP but it's been collecting dust, is the ds version better because of the stylus or would psp be better because of the hardware?

oops, sorry wrong show!

I tried the demo for the PC, but it really feels more like a handheld game. I have a PSP, but my sister got a DS I can play it on, so I'm really curious too weather to buy it for the DS or the PSP.

The PSP version is better. I play on the DS, but a friend at work has it on the PSP and I spent an hour or so with it. Here's the deal:

Better graphics - doesn't seem important in a puzzle game, but the PSP has all sorts of cool spell effects, the puzzle board is much bigger and cleaner, and all the text is better.
Better sound - the music, speech, and sound effects on the PSP are a marked improvement over the downsampled loops on the DS.
Better control - I know. Surprised me too. But, since the game board is so much smaller on the DS (thanks in part to the spells taking up a third of the screen), you'll periodically make an error, inadvertently tapping the wrong piece. That's no big deal in Bejeweled, but here it costs you HP and could lose you a battle. Frustrating. The PSP controls as you'd play Bejeweled on a 360 pad. It's much more accurate and less frustrating.

On the downside for the PSP, you have loading times. But they aren't particularly onerous in this game.

Mormonrage is the perfect example of an EXCELLENT game reviewer and critic. He/She owns a DS and is honest about how the PSP version is better. More people should rate games based on facts and not fanboyishness. Good job!

Since I got my DS last week, PQ is all I've played on it. It's every bit as addicitive as the guys have said on the show and it's probably the closest I've come to playing a proper electronic RPG game for years. There's nothing more satisfying than your opponent taking your health down to single figures and then managing to rescue the fight by getting your shit together and pulling out a sequence of rad moves to beat him.

Indeed the game looks a lot better on the PSP, but I can't imagine playing PQ without my trusty touch screen.

I'm a huge fan of my PSP and use it all the time, having said that I can't see why if given the choice between a DS and a PSP version of the same puzzle game why anyone would pick a psp. PSPs are great for some of the more mature games like Syphon Filter, but puzzle games make more sense on a DS.

I thought those were three fairly compelling reasons.

My brother got it for his PsP and he plays it all the time. If you dont mind random loading screens every other move go for PsP. I personally am waiting for it to come out on 360 so I can get acheivements and good online play.

I love the psp version but there is a glitch that doesn't allow you to use your party members.

It doesn't matter what system you have it on, as long as you have it!

I've heard this as well, but I can't really say for sure as I have not played the PSP version.

The PSP is really nice looking and sounds great, and yes the glitch is there. Your followers don't do crap and it is making Dugog tough to beat!
