I went out last night and picked up a DVI to HDMI cord and hooked my MacBook Pro to my TV .

Right now, my 42" Plasma HDTV is acting like a extended desktop. Fine for now.

I actually want it to act as a primary desktop so when I 'full screen' a movie or anything else...its all right there..... rather than drag a movie window to that screen and try to resize it to fit.

Seems straight forward, but I cant figure it out. What do I need to do?

I frequently use my 37 in LCD tv as a 2nd monitor.

In display settings when I set it to mirror displays the active window defaults to full screen on the tv.

In the display settings do you have it set to mirror displays or are you using the 42in plasma as an extended desktop? In the mirror option, it should just default to filling the screen.
