Friday Night plans in meatspace Cancelled

So, I usually do the Homebrew Beer thang on friday nights, But our homeowner/host/NewDaddy has a sick infant, so it all got cancelled. I'm sure there are more productive things to do tonight, but I'd rather hang with you guys. So. If you're up for it: GOOD FRIDAY PARTY!!!

I've got a keg. And a full bar. (secret stash in the attic for those who imbibe) I have an unlimited jukebox, so play what you want, just respect other people's taste in music, and take your turn.

There is a pool table and dart board in the basement. Two "guest" bedrooms with sufficiently equipped "toy boxes" for those who wish to hook up, or just want a place to talk quietly.

Also, ordered 4 sheet pizzas, one vegie, one plain cheese, one hardcore carnivore, and one combo. Also, giant pile of wings. Hot. sorry, no mild. This is not a party for wimps...

No rules, no regulations, except: Over eighteen only, please. (And if you fake it don't act like a kid. It's the web, afterall, we'll never know ;) )

Thank you. Thanks so much. It really is cool getting feedback. I work hard on the editing. Like three hours of tape distilled down to ten minutes. Luckily the guys are fun, funny and .... drunk. Gotta love Kevin and the "disney" fridge...:D

I'm trying to get them to talk about other pop culture stuff while stuff boils, cooks, whatever, but they clam up. Unlike Kevin/Alex on Diggnation (which inspired the whole thing) these guys don't have previous TV/camera experience, so they are a little awkward. The plus is that they are both teachers, and are used to "performing" infront of a crowd. And that also makes them good at explaining what is going on...

Monologue: Talking From The Box and Rollins Goes to London. Even though they were recorded in 1992 and 1994 respectively, when he gets to the "pouring my heart out inspiration" part of each show, it really hits a nerve with me. And maybe that's not a good thing, maybe it is. I just know that it's inspired the hell out of me and continues to.

I did see the Rollins Band open for Beastie Boys when I was living in Jersey, though. Cool thing was... Rollins Band came out after the first forgettable band had finished and the house lights in this large arena came up, but they never shut the house lights down. No light show, no spot lights. Just the band and the crowd like you were seeing them at a bar. Oddly, more intimate than hyper-produced shows.

You know what's funny? I bought a six pack once, walked it home, opened one and the whole glass top broke and cut the heck out of my hand. I walked it back to the store, broken bottle and all, blood streaming down my arm and filed a complaint with the store.
