I have to agree with Kevin when he talks about "Fast Food Nation". It is an amazing read and quite frankly will make you think twice before heading to the fast food hamburger joint. Not only does the author examine how the franchise are operated, but he inspects the entire industry and how the demand has changed everything, from the growing of potatoes to the slaughtering of animals.
As you read it the question is not how does e coli get into the food, it will be why isn't there more cases of e. coli.
I haven't seen the movie, but the book is worth reading. Go to the bookstore, or if you don't have a whole lot of cash, check it out at the local library.
