What's Your Next-Gen Gaming Status?

So, what's your next-gen gaming status? What systems do you own or plan on owning and why?

Wii and 360 on the console front and a DS on the handheld (I don't know if that counts as next gen just putting there anyway)

I will eventually get a PS3 after a price drop and some more games come out that I want, MGS4, Laird, Warhawk, etc.

Yeah, I was gonna make the PSP and DS choices but I figured I should just stick to the home consoles.

To hell with Sony...I used to buy from them all the time PSone was great PS2 was great but the company as a whole last few years has turned shit..they lost me as a customer.

I got a Wii and want a 360 but will probably be awhile before I can get one.

I own a PS3. I camped out and got it on release day. Like it so far, just give it some time to get more games. I'm not a "fanboy" of either console, so I'll probabaly end up getting an Xbox 360 sometime in the future just so I can have both consoles and play the games that I want that don't happen to be released for BOTH consoles.

Consoles only eh? What aboot the PC, eh? PC been to Next-Gen and back, it was there before Next-Gen went mainstream. Try a rig with 8800GTX's in SLI and it could rail any console you think is "Next-Gen." BESIDES the fact that ALL "Next-Gen" consoles are stripped down PCs.

Only reason I went with Sony when the PS was release was Final Fantasy series. I followed it. Since 13 will be on PS3 I will end up buying one just for it. :D

Even though they claim that they won't do it, I REALLY hope that they come out with a remake of Final Fantasy 7 for the PS3.

Although that was just a tech demo, I do really want that too, it was just sooo sexy looking.

But FF7 is highly over rated, sure it's a great game, but is not the best Final Fantasy game, my money is on FF6, man now that is a great game, I mean it has a 30 minute ending for Christ sake. I'm playing through it again on my DS lately, but very slowly, because whenever I turn on my DS, Phoenix Wright Beckons from the top slot.

FF IV and VI are the best of the series hands down.

I agree with Xibalba, although I do like FF7, ever since the series went 3D it has declined in quality. You can only do the youths save the fictional world story line so many times before it gets stale. I mean FFXII takes place in the Final Fantasy Tactics world.

And to top it all of Uematsu is not doing the music any more WHAT THE ****! That man is a genius!

Actually the greatest moment in Final Fantasydom is the ending of FF6.

Actually for me Guitar Hero is in a way. I just bought the 360 version wihich is about $90 and I already have it on PS2, but for good reason, the ability to download new songs at a later date, better graphics, extra songs on the actual retail copy etc.

I have a dual-core pc though some people do have gaming rigs with quad-core, a lot faster than a multi-cell for sure, plus new DX10 cards
