How did the mods get their positions? (Talkin' to the mods)

So, how were you guys able to land a mod job on the Revision3 forums?

Almost all of us (with the exception of a few) are also moderators on Dan Huards forums (Scopetech). Dan knew all of us already and gave us the position on the Rev3 forums as well.

I like the mods here aren't to arrogant and have always seemed friendly. Even if they aren't all scopetech mods they have to have earned the respect and trust of the admins to become mods anyways.

In the case of ScopeTech we were all active posters, knew the community, weren't inclined to flame other users (without merit), and didn't piss too many people off. We also had a mix of age, experience, backgrounds, and time zones.

Dan had people apply initially. I was the first moderator chosen and then a batch of other ones were picked after me. A few mods left and a few were added from the community.

More precisely, the few of the less acceptable mods were pushed out. Except for Sammy, I think he gives out free blows-jobs or something.
