I was searching for this, and figured others might as well, so I figured I'd post it.

DIGGNATION
149 S. Barrington Ave
#150
Los Angeles, CA 90049

Or, of course, you can e-mail them at diggnationfans@gmail.com

Note: This is not a true "PO" box. It's one of those mailboxes etc. type stores. So, they CAN accept packages that require a signature, etc. If something says "will not ship to PO boxes" don't worry, you can still ship it here.

Send em a sample of your favorite beer. That's my plan ;)

Yeah. Cool that you posted this.
I want to send something. Still debating on what.

I had saved the address from a few episodes back.

Maybe a Microsoftie will see this and send them a Zune, right? ;)

Wait... maybe I should be posting MY address instead!

I have every intention of sending them a sample sixer of our Swillburg homebrew, but I can't figure out a way to mail the bottles safely. In one episode I think they said they got broken bottles...

Anyone know how to safely send them beer? Other than a keg...that is.

Hmm, how about lots and lots of that bubbly paper that everyone loves to pop.

We have two professional-yish type ways to send beer by me. You can go to your higher end liquor stores, like Binny's in my area (??? elsewhere -- places that sell wine), and you can either 1) buy shipping container type dealys from them and pack your own bottles, or 2) you can have them ship it for you.

In other words, you don't leave it in the box/carton, you wrap the bottles individually, then send em in a bigger, sturdy, well packaged box.

Oh... it's also illegal to ship liquor via USPS. But UPS and FedEx both have special liquor shipping procedures that basically ensure that the person signing for the box is over 21.

Slainte!

The address I posted above is the address Kevin and Alex give out specifically for fans to send things in for the show, as has been stated on various episodes of Diggnation.

The addresses you posted are 1) Digg's business address, and 2) shrug.

I'm not sure they'd appreciate receiving stuff at Digg's official business address. But, who knows.

Those were e-mailed to me a couple weeks ago, and I haven't checked on their validity. So the first is genuine, but for business, the second who knows.

I've got to get around to finding a certain beer to send.

I hope so. I'd like to hear what they say how good it is.

They will test one out and all that, one way or another, and I'd probably say they will like it. I have read other reviews, and I have only heard good about it.

Thanks I was looking for this as well. I remember Kevin was going to give it out on one of the diggnation shows but he forgot at the end of the show.

I'll send them my comic book when it's done.

So, supposing I have a large case of booze I want to send to Diggnation. Would it be gauche to send it to Digg HQ, since they NEVER seem to tape in Los Angeles anymore? I wouldn't expect Alex to lug a case of liquor with him up to San Francisco, but at the same time, they've never said it's kosher to send stuff for the show to the Digg HQ, where Kevin would have easy access to bring it back home to his apartment.

I have both addresses... thoughts?

(By the way, I sent them an email on this a couple weeks ago, but since I'm no hot chick, I doubt they read it ;) )

Why do I have a feeling that shipping beer over international borders would end badly for me?

I will instead send photos of me drinking copious amounts of beer and engagingin shenanigans as a tribute to Diggnation.

Maybe you shouldn't be posting addresses that were emailed privately to you.

Such a bizarre sense of protocol you seem to have.

I found that my local microbrewer will ship for me. They ship all the time so you don't have to worry if they will arrive broken.

Hum, too bad I live so bloody far away and the shipping would probably kill me because I would love to send some beers.

if it didn't cost so much to send heavy packages abroad I would send some local beer grown and fermented from hops in Kent.

I think fedex does for people who are selling it to consumers. Best bet would probably not to tell whats in the box. Though probably can get in trouble by doing so.

I've sent liquor via UPS before, and just not mentioned what's in it. But, I'm in the states. Tyson is in Canada, eh, and so his packages have to go through customs.

Now, we all know how assbackwards the united states customs can be, but it would seriously suck if they did check it out. Now, nothing would happen to you, Tyson, but you can be sure as shit diggnation would never get your beer :\

Some states you aren't suppose to be able to ship or receive alcohol though people do anyways. As long as they don't check it all is good. If ya are worried about it getting seized at the border and might be a waste of money if it does.

Can always have someone smuggle it into the states and mail it from right across the border. :D

If you want to pay a lot, I am pretty sure you can send it via FedEx. They have an age verification option to make sure the person receiving it is over 21.

I would say your easiest way is to call up UPS and FedEx and ask them.

They won't arrest you for asking :)

But seriously, I have done it. Just pack it VERY well (like if you send a case, open it and wrap each bottle, then put it all in a garbage bag so if it breaks it doesn't leak). I've never run into problems.

Just fyi, shipping booze isn't cheap. It's heavy and requires a lot of packaging. But sometimes you just gotta share the good stuff with friends.

It is sad that they aren't taking beer directly anymore. I was going to send some good old East coast Yuengling ;) Ah well, I sent a pic of my cat in a beer box, along with some Pownce cat treats..

enjoy!

p.s. If you have a cat the Pounce treats are great! My cat loves them.

Ok, ok, ok, I have a question. My brother works for USPS and he said they DO NOT ship liquids of ANY KIND anymore.

Does anyone know of a shipping company that does?

kowgod

I ship beer all the time via UPS. All I do is package it REALLY well, then wrap it up in a garbage bag, so that if it breaks it doesn't leak.

If you buy a case, open the case and wrap each bottle. They are not well protected inside the case and can easily break.

Package it well and you're set. Never had a delivery rejected yet.
