Just a question... why was the recent politcal thread about Bush locked? I understand that there shouldn't be any kind of racist, etc comments, but I didn't see any of those. Also, I understand that this isnt a political site or forum. However, I do think that any time there is political discussion it should continue aslong as it doesn't get out of hand because any time people talk about politics and discuss their different points of view it is a good thing.

It was a thread that was devolving fast. "Why can't Iraqi's get along like good Christians", "Is Bush a Great President or the Greatest" ... how many other quotes would you like me to pull out??
Political discussion is fine. So is relgious discussion.
But it has to be done maturely, otherwise it degenerates into a flame fest.
That thread, plus the Ten Commandments thread (not locked by me by the way) degenerated quickly.
Sometimes you have to put the fire out early before it spreads too far and gets out of control.
