Ive had a Zune for a while now and love it. I love the screen and think the UI is a better experience then the iPod. But my biggest gripe with it was the pain in the ass that is getting videos on the damn thing. For those that dont know; lets say you have an AVI you want to watch with the Zune, well first you'd need to go out and convert it to a format the Zune Software will accept MPEG and WMV I think is all it works with. But thats not all, after that, the Zune Software will convert it down to work with the Zune. The whole process is to big of a headache unless you are doing it in mass, not worth it just for 1 video.

Today for some reason I had a hankering to check out ZuneScene.com and see what was up and came across this article:

Seems all you have to do to get the Zune Player to ready up a Divx movie for the Zune is a simple registry hack. Now I feel 100% happy with my Zune

[Note: I guess the real issue is that the Zune Player wont take the AVI MIME type for whatever reason. Even if its a MPEG AVI.]
