I don't have a mac so I am not sure about a DRM remover.

I will have to try these out. The only thing I dislike about my mac is finding software to replace things I used on windows, but most the time its easy. But...IMO there isnt a good MSN messenger replacement.

Handbrake is what I've used and I've only ever had a problem with one movie. Not sure if it was DRM or what, but other than that, it's work great. It also has options such as "Rip to iPod".

Depends on what you plan on doing with the file. If you plan on burning it to another DVD I suggest MactheRipper. You'll get the larger files and the quality will be nice. This will produce the VOB files.

What I mostly use is HandBrake which most of the time will remove the DRM. I have run into a few DVD's that will not work and I'm up a creek with those.

I use Handbrake to rip a DVD to xvid to watch on the computer later.

If I want to backup my original DVD to a single layer DVD. I use Mac The Ripper to rip the DRM'd DVD to the hard drive, I then use the commercial application DVD2OneX to compress the VIDEO_TS folder down small enough to burn onto a single layer DVD.

I wish there was a tool like Slysofts AnyDVD available for OS X to decrypt the dvd on the fly.
