please please please talk about Veronica Mars and how incredibly wonderful a show it is and how tons more people should watch it. New episodes start may 1st and people need to start watching so it does NOT get cancelled. So when you start talking about tv, talk about this, please. and Dan is not the only one who remembers Welcome Freshmen :)

1) does it count towards ratings when you record a show on tivo (or another tivo-esque dvr of sorts)? If the answer to that is yes then I will add it to my recording list... I have a lot of friends that love this show (I've never watched because its always been up against something else) and so I'd do my part to keep it on the aire for them.
2) I am the Sarah that remembers Welcome Freshmen (and all of Dan's Nickelodeon references for that matter) Back in the day it was an extra charge to get Nick now its a basic cable channel, so I think there are probably a lot of people in our age group that didn't get all those shows.

They are experimenting with DVR and time shifting in limited markets though ... so, recording on Tivo does nothing for ratings at the moment, but it is coming.

im not 100% sure about ratings, unfortunately neilsen boxes still make up a big part of how they count them. which is dumb since i doubt that they are a clear representation of the population but tivoing cant hurt, plus its an awesome show that i will now personally guarantee you will love... i think :)

I think the Nielson ratings are screwed up. They take a small sample of the population then blow it up to huge numbers to represent the entire population.

Agreed!!! Veronica Mars Rocks!!!! i love that show lets hope it stays on! I also like how i met your mother. The connections??? Alyson Hannigan!!! Shes Awesome! Anyone else what that show? HIMYM?
