Well i don't know about you guys, but I had a really slim week but there was some great art this week and not very much bad art, even 52 wasn't bad. Now I haven't read all my books yet, but i have flipped through them for the purpose of this thread.
THE BEST: this was really hard. I loved Frank Quietly's work on All Star Superman, anything he does is just extremely interesting. Although it seemed to lack the detail of his previous issues. Some of the panels just seemed empty.
Another book worth mentioning is Al Barrionuevo's Teen Titans. It was exactly what you'd expect in a superhero/supervillain throwdown. The action was amazing and the colours really brought out these scenes. I've never heard of Barrionuevo but it was really good, it's just a shame that he's a fill in and it's not going to be a consistent artist throughout the entire arc. It's not mentioned very often but Titans has had great art since OYL.
But by far my favorite this week was The Nightly News #5. I dont think the art in this book is for everybody though. It is not your average comic book art. It's based more in the graphic design vein. It's funny, I didn't enjoy the overuse of shadows in this week's Thunderbolts (I get it, they are an evil team!) but Hickman's use of shadows and layouts really brings you right into the story. There is one page in which Hickman grabs our attention with a page full of skewed lines and it is extremely striking and helps to emphasize the point in the story. If your not reading this book you should at least check it out for a fresh take on the comic book medium.

THE WORST: This was pretty hard. out of all the 9 books i bought even the worst wasn't that bad. 52's art wasn't great but was a definite improvement over the last few weeks, it's main problem? it felt rushed and lacked any sort of detail, some panels looked extremely hazy.
Green Arrow's art felt rushed and lacked the energy of previous issues as well but i think that could be due to the fact that no one has been able to fill the shoes of phil hester since he left way back when (although mcdaniel has come the closest). not bad but not as good as the Deathstroke arc.
New Avengers had the same problems that we discussed on the forums last issue. Yu is a great artist but only during action scenes and since this issue was mostly talking heads, it lacked the dynamics and fluidity of the previous issues.
But the prize goes to Iron Man #16. Just look at the cover of this book, it's completly uninteresting. Like the 3 other books i mentioned the art wasn't all bad, in fact there were some pages/panels that were amazingly detailed, but i found it to be far too inconsistent. Some of the character designs just looked akward and wierd (a good example of this can be found in the Wardrobe malfunction thread). i also found that the colouring was boring and bland in places when it would have benefited from colours that pop
