ok, here is the thread that seems to be wayyy overdue. i just wanted to see the different tastes that geeks from all over the world seem to have in tv. I can see that Doctor Who is among the favorites. Here's just a quick list.

The Office
House
BSG
Veronica Mars (Season 1-2)
Farscape (does anyone remember this one?)
Lost
Project Runway
Stewart/Colbert
West Wing
Arrested Development
Alias (Season 1-4)

Anything else? What do you watch?

I'm a HUGE House fan. Also, you can't forget Heroes. I love that feakin' show, but the constant delays are startin' to make me angry. Lost is decent, but it's not been on top of its game since season 1. I also watch a lot of cartoons (like TMNT).

i love Ricky Gervais's Extras. i mean how can you follow up the office without creating a let down show?? but really genius use of celebrities. some of my fav episodes have to be with Ian Mckellan and Daniel Radcliffe. the condom thing was hilarious.

Ya, the show really had a great combination of quirky characters and great powerful story lines. i mean John Crichton's snarky pop culture comments were great. loved the show. my fav character would have to be .... i guess d'argo. those luxans are awesome. anyone watch the peacekeepers mini series? what did you think?

As for things still on the air:

BSG
Heroes
Dexter
Nip/Tuck

And season four of the BBC comedy Peep Show just started airing. I've loved Peep Show for a long time now and must recommend it to everyone. Undeniably hilarious.

Im a huge wrestling fan, so RAW, Smackdown, and ECW are the shows I watch weekly.
With Lost, Heroes, Family Guy, and Smallville also on the list, I don't watch much tv besides those shows.

I think that almost anything HBO makes tops my list. I just like how their shows aren't afraid to show the nitty grittyness of life. I am sort of sick of shows like Lost, Heroes and BSG which IMHO have become to "fear" driven.

My favorite shows from HBO:

Rome - By far one of the best shows ever made
Deadwood - this got me back into westerns
Curb Your Enthusiasm - Seinfeld without the sensors
The Wire - I am only in the first season, but it has been pretty good so far and last but not least...
Entourage - My guilty pleasure

Its really too bad most of these shows are not on anymore, I eagerly await what they invent next. I am pretty sure I am done with network television.

CSI: Vegas - Grissom is my hero and my wife has a crush on Greg.
24 - I usually wait till it comes out on DVD to watch it.
Family Guy - Ummm, it's funny.
The Soup - because it doesn't take itself too seriously.
Criminal Minds - My wife got me hooked

...and I just watched my very first episode of Heroes tonight. S01E01. I never really had a want to watch it but then I kept hearing about how people love it so I figured I would torrent an episode and give it a shot. Gotta say that I like it. Depending on how the next few episodes go, I may have to buy it on DVD when it comes out in August.

Heroes (could just be called Hiros)
24 (the count down has me in a trance)
House (Angry Doc with a cane, need I say more?)
Man vs Wild (Ex-SAS guy making it in the wild, pure Radness)
Dexter (The Lovable Killer)

So now that most of you have seen this episode, I feel that I should post this picture again. But let me preempt it by saying that I love my wife very much. She is my one and only. The Sun may be the closest star to Earth, but she is the closest star to my heart. She is the only one for me. Now, that being said...

For a married guy, you sure.... :)

I don't watch anywhere near the TV I used to.

I am totally obsessed over 'My name is Earl' The DVD box set plays on loop in my household.

I also watch Scrubs on DVD
and follow Heroes a lot.

Not much else, but cartoons get preference on TV. I miss Zim and Rocko's modern Life most. Zim lives on DVD. Rocko doesn't :(

I'm kinda getting into Drawn together, and I think this new Australian Show Wilfred is going to do well. I keep missing it, but it looks bloody strange and quirky in a good way.

I DVR everything and watch it when I can. Basically it's set to tape Scrubs, CSI, CSI Miami, My Name is Earl, 3rd Rock, The Office, Farscape, Heroes, The Black Donnely's, Rules of Engagement, Lost, and I think that's it for what's currently on. I also love Firefly, Arrested Development, Futurama, and I'm sure several others I just can't recall.
