So in earlier articles, Lucas was boasting about writing the story about the item in question Jones would be after . . . but now on IMDB they are saying he's only getting credit for the characters. Anyone have an idea whats up.
David Koepp - screenplay
George Lucas - characters
Jeff Nathanson - story

I never heard Lucas was writing the story. I don't think he ever said that. The thing with him was that he had to OK the script before they could start production.

Shia LaBeouf is Indy's sidekick. I hate that guy.

I read in an interview lucas was pushing his idea for the quest item the first time they thought about doing Indy 4 . . . and because it was either too deep or too political they (spielberg and the others) weren't too thrilled about it . . . but after Lucas pitched it some more they were keen his idea . . . . maybe that was the extent of his input on the story or something . . . dunno.
Shia LaBeouf has too much charisma to be a sidekick . . . so it conflicts with the main guy which makes him a BAD one . . . I like him on his own though . . . ever watch even steven . . . he has some natural timing/delivery/humor in him . . .

I kinda disagree. Shia seems like a great choice as a sidekick fellow for me. he is just the type to come in and add that dumb remark can lighten a heavy scene....they may not use him correctly, but right now I'll be cautiously optimistic.

OH GOD!! That is true! THAT's why I got that "great sidekick" vibe from him, because I'd liked him in Constantine. Rock on. I am completely onboard now! Great casting.

He was pretty good on that . . . but not so good in I Robot . .
