Just wondering if anyone has checked out mercury messenger (http://www.mercury.to/), it supports the macbooks isight apparently and I was wondering if anyone has checked it out. I don't like aMSN and Adium doesn't support the webcam.

i tried it out a year or two ago, and it worked pretty well. it was fairly stable, just a little fiddly for my simplistic mind! it supported the external isight camera back then, and as i recall it also supports older USB cameras (which until the iSight went internal to the USB bus, remain blocked on all macs without an inbuilt cam).
the standard for video these days is skype. the mac version is a little skechy at times, but nuances aside it thrashes the rest. except for iChat of course - but until there's a version which can be installed on non-mac's (ideally without dependancies upon the aol/aim platform), it is but a dream (3 years and counting?). if only the iChat/iTunes teams would get together an port iChat to win/lin, it'd clean up!

Well the thing is I wanted to be able to use the webcam over MSN, so skype wouldn't work for that.
