So I'm rreading through the Bendis/Maleev run on Daredevil (the first Daredevil I've ever read) and loving it, but I'm having some trouble finding Vol. 8. My store never has it, none of the sites I've checked have it either except for Amazon, which is charging $40 for it, which seems pretty steep. Furthermore, Marvel doesn't list it with the rest of them on the inside jacket of the rest of the series so far. So what's the deal with this? Is it out of print? and if so, why? It seems a pretty odd place to stop. I guess this is where the Echo character was brought in and I don't know if she's that massively unpopular or if it's published as an Echo book or whatever, but it's starting to piss me off.
So do I skip it? Is there anything big that I'm gonna miss if I do that? Should I just wait it out and try to find the cheapest copy I can?

Check out DCBS (http://www.dcbservice.com) and search "Daredevil vol 8". The echo arc is done by David Mack (writing and art) as opposed to Bendis/Maleev. I don't know if that was causing any trouble in your search.

Bendis and Maleev had nothing to do with the Echo story; It was five issues written and drawn by David Mack in between Bendis'/Maleevs' 'Hardcore' arc and 'King of Hell's Kitchen'. It's not considered part of their run.

EDIT: this was already stated. thats what i get for scanning.

personnally i think that echo arc was the weakest thing in the entire Daredevil series (the new series), but im no fan of david mack or the character of echo in general

I really liked Echo when Quesada first introduced her (that was my first arc reading DD) and like her on the New Avengers. I do agree that that arc stuck out oddly in Bendis' run.
