I was just wondering if anyone else here uses stashmycomics.
It's pretty cool. It's allows you to organize your collection online and even gives you a pull list option for each week. As well as the "value" of your collection. I cna't believe how much money I have into comics.
check it out: http://www.stashmycomics.com/
It's free too.

Yeah, they look very similar. I think it is a good way to keep track of your collection.

Yeah I agree. Seeing that spent amount everytime I log is is disturbing though.
I don't even want to think about what I've spent

Yup, took a look at the site a few weeks back. I don't have the patience or diligence to enter in all my comics though.

Eh it didn't take that much time. It's pretty easy to enter runs at a time.

You may be right, K33k3r. After messing around with similar sites devoted to cataloging one's music collection, I just didn't want to go through all that data entry a second time. Glad it's working out for you guys though.

Understood. I most likely have a smaller collection since I only got back into comics only a few years back.

Next time I tackle the great reorganization, I'll probably set up one of these services. Any preferences or stand-outs?

With 30+ longboxes, I'd have to quit my job to use a site like this. I'm too OCD about this kind of thing to do it half-assed.

Wait a minute, I'm confused. How can you be OCD and not bag, board and file your comics?
That's why I still bag and board, at least thats what I tell myself.

I'm OCD about filing out charts and graphs and databases.
My comics are filed, eventually, just not as well as I'd like. My OCD loses out to lack of space/time in that regard.

Thanks for the clarification. I just seem to remember something about a two foot tall stack of comics in the corner that was about to fall over from one of the podcasts. I'm the same way about the charts and graphs which is why I don't use one of these sites plus the time factor.

That two foot stack got filed away and there is now a new one foot stack in its stead.
I'm gonna catalog all my stuff on there to begin Kal's 2007 Sale Extravaganza! (AKA: I need rent money :()

@Conor
Just curious, how do you organize without going back through the older boxes? What do you do with new issues of the older series like Batman and Detective Comics?
