Today was one of if not the best of my life! Today I discovered I got accepted to a drama foundation course at Cambridge School of Visual And Performing Arts! (http://www.cambridgevisualandperformingarts.com/cambridgeschoolofvisualarts/csvpa_dramafoundation.html) it only accepts 16 people a year! So this is an immense honor and something to celebrate about I'm really happy and just felt like I should tell the world!

On top of all this I went to my store today because Mark Miller and Jeff Loeb were signing books, I went got in line and got to meet then completely free. I first met Jeff Loeb who I like a lot but he seemed very distant pleasant but didn't want to talk to me much and signed my Wolverines and Fallen Son Wolverine but the thing that was most remarkable is that after last week's iFanboy video show I decided I should get a sketchbook and a little book in the little book I thought I'd get writers signatures but instead Jeff Loeb and Mark Miller did sketches in it here is Jeff Loeb's sketch and me with him:http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u220/Aaron33_photo/IMG_3469.jpg

Mark Miller was a surprise. I must admit that with the Civil War and Ultimates delays I didn't expect it to go very well fortunately for me it was the contrary. I met Mark Miller and talked to him about some comic scripts I'm writing and what should a young writer do to start his career off (I still want to be an actor since the age of six and this was before I discovered I got accepted to the foundation school) and I realized I really like his books, no matter how late they are he still a really good writer and a really cool guy and I love the Ultimates no matter how late they are. Anyway he signed some Civil War issues and my copy of Ultimates issue one and I ask him if he could write his signature in the book and he says to me “do you want a sketch?” This surprise me more than Loeb's sketch as it was just a shield, I said in astonishment “ah…. Yeah! That will be awesome!” So he asked me “who's your favorite Marvel character? I said “Captain America.” He said “what about ultimate Captain America, do you like the Ultimates?” I said “I love the Ultimates and I love ultimate Captain America! So he sketched me the coolest sketch of ever got and asked me if I'd post it up on his site and I said I would but my allegiance is to you guys first so here it is first me and Mark Miller and the sketch which was the envy of all the other nerds in line with me it's freaking hilarious!:

Lastly and I did not know this Siler from Heroes with their signing autographs to. Had I known he was going to be there as well beforehand I would've definitely got a ticket for that as well, here's a picture of him I managed to grab though and a picture of the inside of my store:

Well it was a great day but at the end of it had a bit of bad news.:( Because of the cost to the school I'm going to I'm to have to cut down on the books I buy and the time I use on the site and forms, that doesn't mean I'm going to stop altogether it just means I'm dropping a lot of books to trade and come September went to my term begins I'll be on the site a lot less maybe only on weekends. But let's not talk about that until September until then I'm so excited and am telling everybody and anybody I know about it, and I thought you guys might get a kick out of my trip to the store with the sketches, cheers everybody You're all awesome!:D

that's really awesome news. good for you

on the loeb thing, he may've seemed distant because he was signing Fallen Son. It's suppossed to be personal for him because he just lost his son last year.

I don't know, maybe is really like that. I'm just saying it could be that.

Thanks Fred, Steve and paper :)

Yeah now that you mention it that's probably why, he was a nice enough guy though and he has been through a lot. It was quite funny at one point he turned to Mark Miller with an issue he was signing of The Spirit/Batman he did and said “you know this is up for an Eisner nomination” Mark Miller laughs and says “yeah graduations” struck me as kind of odd anyway.

Congratulations.

What's the proper pronunciation of Millar's name? I never know if I'm making an ass of myself (shut up) buy pronouncing it ""Milli-ar".

Ah going to drama school comes with a price but it's definitely worth it. I've gone over the books I read and was planning to read and start cutting them down it doesn't look too pretty:

Finish off 52, no Countdown maybe in trade, getting rid of Incredible Hulk for World War Hulk, dropping JLA after Lightning Saga, dropping Brave and the Bold, Avengers Initiative going to trade, runaways going to trade, Daredevil going to trade, finish up Astonishing X-Men, finish up Lobe’s run on Wolverine, Nova going to trade, finish up Ellis’s run on thunderbolts, Newuniversal going to trade.

Books I'm going to try to stick with:

JSA, The Spirit, Hellboy, BPRD, Star Wars Legacy, The Goon, Batman, The Immortal Iron Fist, New Avengers, Mighty Avengers, X-Factor, Moon Night, Captain America, Criminal.

Sad thing I'll probably have to cut most of those to.

That's a seriously long cut list but completely understandable under the circumstances. It will all be worth it in the end.
