I hope some of you have seen the press release regarding LucasArts new IP, Fracture, which will be released on next-gen consoles. Having just watched the trailer, I have to say it looks frakkin awesome!

If this isn't discussed on next week's show heads need to roll!

Yes cause we all know LucasArts has a great track record for amazing games.

If that's sarcasm, I should quote the following...

The Dark Forces/Jedi Knight Series
The X-Wing/Tie Fighter Series
Monkey Island
Full Throttle
Grim Fandango
Secret Weapons Over Normandy
Rebel Assault
Armed & Dangerous
Star Wars: Battlefront
Star Wars: Republic Commando
Star Wars: Empire At War

The recent titles might not be games that got 90%+ in ratings, but they all got respectable reviews and we're enjoyed by many people. Fracture looks like it has a feature that may push it into the 90% bracket, much like the cover feature of GoW.

Well I think it looks amazing. I have really high hopes for this game, or at least its technology behind it. I am also thinking about some pretty rad multiplayer that could come out of this.

Would you also be interested in speaking to a developer on LittleBigPlanet? Not sure whether I can hook you up, it's a friend of a friend, but I can try.

I miss the days when Lucasarts was an innovative and original game development studio.

Ever since they decided to cut back and only focus on 2-3 games at any given time, things have started to look up, but this game doesn't look like anything special.

And the heads are resting safely on their shoulders after this weeks episode. Nice one Jeff!

Wes

p.s. I've contacted the developer on LittleBigPlanet, just waiting to hear back. As you can imagine, he's a little bit busy right now.

And talk of this game caused one of the funniest breakdowns in the show I've ever seen :)

there was an action adventure way back in the day (1994) (for PS1?), called Magic Carpet, in which you could also transform the landscape in a way... .
it was designed by Peter Molyneux. it was technically ahead of its time.

here's the wiki link:
