Does anyone know how to add additional applications to Front Row?

With applications like Joost taking over the Remote Control altogether on launch, surely it makes more sense to open it up from the inside?

If you know how to do this, send me a private message; there is a development budget...

Some have tried, but the most anyone has gotten is changing the icons. Elgato's EyeTV software has a neat trick which loads on top of front row, so you can move between the two. It's not perfect but it's the closest we'll get unless a front row update appears.

I would like to see Apple release an RSS reader for Front Row. But so far I don't think any individuals can make plug-ins or add-ons for Front Row :( .

I've been using Mira from Twisted Melon to make the remote more usable.

It works very well plus you can add any Apps and config the remote to work within that app.

It is a shame that there isn't much 3rd party support in Front Row but this might change once Leopard is released, which will be the rirst upgrade release of OS X that comes with front row.

Side Note: Intel binary of OS X is not an upgrade release

No, I wasn't referring to how you buy software. I was just saying that 10.4 PowerPC to 10.4 Universal (Intel native/compatible) is not considered an upgrade release. An upgrade release would be when 10.4 is upgraded to 10.5.
