I just has a little idea of a new addition to the show. Movies and/or games that were rad when they came out and are still rad now. I'm not talking about all the main stream radness that was out, but the diamonds in the rough from 15-20 years ago or so.

Ones that I can think off of the top of my head would be Stripes, Bubba Ho-tep and the Army of Darkness (I'm a bit of a Bruce Campbell fan), War Games. So, to start things off I just wanted to suggest this as well as hope that some of you would suggest other flicks and/or games as well. I'm a bit more partial to the flicks side of things.

ps
it goes without saying that Tron is totally rad and should be on this list.

I used to watch the movie White Water Summer with Sean Astin and Kevin Bacon all the time when I was younger. It just was on TV today and it was still freaking RAD.The soundtrack was awesome.

.....i reckon this is a sweet idea..but they do reference a lot of 80's-90's radness. Like the Super Scope 16 n shit.

Stood the test of time? Fifteen years? I got underwear older than fifteen years.

I think Bruce Campbell is the definition of "Main Stream Rad." More people know who is is now than when he did the "Evil Dead" series.

A also think people forget what huge box-office draw Bill Murrey was right out of Saturday Night Live. Movies like "Caddy shack", "Meatballs", "Stripes" and "Ghostbusters" are classic unfettered Bill Murrey. You could still catch a glimpse of classic Bill Murrey in "Scrooged" and "Groundhog Day."

He shows up as a supporting character in a lot of stuff these days. Movies like "Lost in Translation" and "The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou" still resonate. People forget what a huge box office draw he could be.

Just thought of some tv shows that still remain rad, to me atleast:

The legend of zelda:

The super mario brothers super show:

Anyone else remember?

White Water Summer WAS awesome! It is also an important link in many six degrees to Kevin Bacons...

In sticking with the 80s, I would have to add the once great network's sweeps tool...THE MINISERIES. As for the series that was overflowing with Rad..."V".

I definitely agree with the original poster. I'd love to see the guys talk about one item of nostalgic radness every week in addition to the movies, tv and games (not so interested in comics personally).

It's better when they talk about old school stuff when it's in relation to what they are already talking about, which is what they did a lot on geekdrome. And I kind of agree with you on the comics thing. Although it's probably my favorite form of media I think JLo does it so much better on geekscape...

JLo was definately more into it than DannyT. Not saying that Dan couldn't keep up - but JLo was obsessive. I actually think the iFanboy podcast gives a broader view - because these are three guys that live/sleep/breath comics, but have varying opinions. If you haven't checked out their podcast, go give it a try (http://revision3.com/ifanboy).

Agreed, ifanboy has turned me onto many comics I'd never read/heard of before. They just need to start having longer episodes!! A half hour once a week certainly doesn't give me enough of a fix!
