Anyone else a fan of the Alien/Predator, now AvP series? I know some people didnt like AvP, but I liked it. It gave me some of both of series ,but yes, not the most of it. I'am looking forward to the movie. Anyone else?

Seriously, AvP shat all over two great franchises. Watching that movie was one of the worst movie going experiences of my life. As a huge Alien and Predator franchise fan, to watch them both get flushed down the toilet was incredibly painful.

Still at least it taught us all that running around in the Antarctic in just a vest is perfectly ok, guess that's global warming for ya.

AvP was like the mentally challenged second cousin to both series, but I loved it. Now if you hold it up to Aliens or Predator, then I could see the hatred, but me, I took it for what it was worth. A mindless, popcorn flick with action based on some great ideas, plus there was Lance Henrickson...I adore him.

I'm not even a huge fan of A or P, so it's not like I was going in wanting/expecting a lot.
That was a HORRIBLE freaking movie. I wish it was bad in a funny-stupid way, but it couldn't even do that!

The only saving grace of AvP was that it made Alien 4 actually seem like a good film in comparison. Maybe AvP2 will be so bad that it'll make AvP seem good in comparison.

I hated the movie. I loved the PC games though.

AvP was a great idea. However, it was poorly executed. Given such awesome progenitors, the cross-over should have been exceptional.
