Noticed a lot of us here are DS players and was wondering if anyone picked up the new Pokemons
I remember owning Blue back in the day, but is the new generation any good?

while what com said is true, the new generation is still a great set of games. I have diamond and I am lovin' it. When I was on spring break two weeks ago I played the crap outta it, now with school again I'm kind of slacking off, but man oh man they are still fun.

Am I right in thinking it's wander around a non-descript landscape talking to people, bumping into critters, fighting them and wandering around some more, occasionally finding a new pokemon to add to your collection?
If so, what's special about these games?

Well, that's sorta it, but it is more structured than you make it sound. You always have a set path to take and you always know what to do next, so theres less wandering than you might think. Also, I think you just need to be in that "gotta catch 'em all" attitude, so it's not right for everyone.

I never watched the cartoon, but damn it if I don't love those games!
I wish I knew what I liked about them though. I can't even tell you.
On a side note, I'm not a big gamer and I know that this kind of stuff happens in WOW and such, but this is ridiculous!

I think one of the reasons why I am hooked again, is because it is one of those games where you can just be watching tv or doing something else and be playing the game in the background. You don't have to give it much attention, but still get massive rewards, or well, decent rewards.

Okay, selling a stupid pokemon for 10 bucks on ebay is retarded....come one people, I like this game and all, but seriously?!? Ten bucks for a level 50 poke, when the whole game only costs 40? And how lame would you feel knowing that you payed ten bucks for a pokemon in your game everytime you played. That's like me paying somebody 10 bucks to beat mario for me. Sure, now it's been beaten, but I sure didn't do it. Retards in this world, I tell ya.

I like the Pokemon games. I haven't bought one since Ruby, but I like them.

No, thats not what I meant to say. The Pokemon games usually add other features to the games as well, as a matter of fact they add a whole lot more every version than any sports games do.

I finished Pokemon Diamond in one week. (Finish as in the elite four) Yeah, its pretty fun and all and I haven't bought a Pokemon game since Blue...

I have the Pearl and I was really excited about it and played it all the time when I first got it but now I'm bored with it. I barely pick it up anymore, I usually play Hotel Dusk or Phoenix Wright instead.
I miss the old Pokemon :( The new ones are ugly and I don't know any of them.
