Ok, I absolutely love the show, watch it every week, and am now supporting it by buying the shirts. With that said, I have one complaint about it, and this falls more on the production side (maybe post-production). Throughout the show, there isn't a consistent audio level. Well people laugh, it spikes, and I've noticed that it isn't consistent from segment to segment either. I constantly fund myself adjusting the volume as I watch it. Is there anything that can be done about that?

Here's the thing. We've talked around this before, but the simple answer is this: At this point, we simply don't have the resources to completely solve this problem. We are aware of the audio issues. Believe me, we are. Steve and Alex go round and round every week trying new strategies to solve this problem (perhaps you noticed a different placement of the mics in ep 8), and we are committed to producing a professional looking and sounding show. But the truth is that the solution is going to be something that happens as the show grows. We're only 8 episodes in, here. The best way for us to be able to improve the show (and audio is at the top of the list) is for our audience to be VERY attractive to advertisers. That means, if you like the show despite the (in my opinion, relatively minor) audio drawbacks, tell your friends about it! If you need things that are provided by our sponsors, be sure you let them know you heard about them from us!

This is a bit of a shill response, I know, but the honest to goodness truth is that we're doing the best we can with what we've got. The more resources we have, the better the show will be. We promise. :)

Your friendly, neighborhood TRS Host,
-Jeff

The laughing is the most noticable audio drawback. It is ear-pearcingly laoud, but, on a lighter note, it is due to the fact that there are dam funny parts in the show. As little as it has happened so far, about 90% of the time I am laughing my ass off right there with them. I guess everyone just pays attention to the bad things, must be some phsyco mumbo jumobo behind that.

Are there anymore sponsers other than godaddy at this point though? Other than godaddy and buying the clothing i'm just not sure how else i can contribute.

I dont get what all the fuss is about, sound is OK then you get the FISTS OF RADNESS BAM, some random comments, and a little spike on the LAUGHING and then its back to normal.

Ever wonder why the ads are always louder than the shows on TV? It because of the pitch of the ads - they literally "shift the frequencies" up a notch ... no, its not louder, its just that we hear frequencies in that range louder. A laugh falls into that range as well - ever notice how well laughter carries in a packed room??

Jeff - thanks for the feedback. Your participation in the forums really adds a lot to the shows.
Alex, and the guy in the Steve suit ;) - keep it up, sooner of later you will find the right combination :)

No problem with the wording of your response, and I wasn't aware of other threads about the issue, I'm new to the forums. And no, whomever suggested I signed up simply to piss on the show is totally wrong. If I didn't care about it, why would I watch it and comment on it, not to mention purchase the shirts?

id rather have to tweak it a bit like on TRS as opposed to diggnation where it's done already in the mix but it's still very noticeable.

its the same thing with the auto volume feature in cars, id rather control it myself (regardless how loud or soft) than have the car control it for me
